Evangelicism, synonymous with fascism

Does anyone else agree that evangelicism is fascism? Evangelicals make up around a quarter of the US population - they keep their children from an education, rather 'home-schooling' them (a bunch a crap if you ask me). They preach about the fact that a) evolution does not exist and creationism is the only answer, b) global warming is a lie created by those Liberal godless bastards and c) Harry Potter is witchcraft and is blasphemic (not one of their bigger problems but just interesting to add - especailly when they deprive their children of reading / watching Harry Potter, quite sad really).

Their population is growing, does anyone else feel this is a problem for the future? Especially seeing as how they have the power to swing votes.

I'd like to comment on this topic. You are asking if anyone else agrees with your points yet I have trouble finding what you've written to be fact. It sounds overly exaggerated but I won't know unless you provide statistics or/and where you are getting your information from.

1. A quarter of the US population? - 25%? Is this a guess on your part?

2. "they keep children from an education" by home-schooling? What are you basing this on?
* Have you ever follow the academic advantages of home-school children?
* Are you against a parents right to make choices for their child? Ever considered the reasons for a parent making the choice for home school?

3. They teach global warming is a lie? huh? How do you know this and where the proof of your statement.
* Why do you say 25% of these people teach creation is not supported by science? Again 25%?

4. Harry Potter? What do you base what you have written?

5. Do you know why they call it a "swing vote"? Check definition of "swing vote."

FACT - In order to home school a child in the United States, a parent MUST have credentials to do so, including a college education and degree. Many public/private school teachers have the same degree at a home school teacher.

You've throw out much here and I would like to know that I am commenting on fact and not a made up exaggerated rant of misinformation. I could be wrong and if I am wrong, point it out to me and then I can either agree or disagree with you but I am not a fan of untruths. Knowledge is power. It's just a humorous-pun on Princess Zia's post in another thread, from when she said that she is an.al about relating only truth... I merely stretched it some, to read that being "an.al to relating truth is akin to possessing a butt of truth"...

They are both elitest, swear loyalty to one leader, have one pure people, others apart from them are inferior, they are anti-rational, anti-scientific, anti-intellectual and stamp out all opposition.

Plus.. it seems that the evangelical cult is in process of fulfilling some weird insane ape-class secret under lying layered plot within a plot within plots.. to effect what causes a tremendous-disaster, that essentially wipes-out most of the life on the planet all at once, so to, in their insane belief structures, so to "have sent everybody to their private "heaven", all at once, so they will receive massive quantities of their "god's grace points", "heavenly grace credits", and "heavenly authority", which, in their minds, sets them up as equals and masters to their fictitious "angels", and as masters to all lessors, us... Evangelicals believe they are killing non-believers for their god's plan.. and they are killing us in massive quantities, by direct slaughter, and by damaging our planet faster than the planet can restore and repair... thereby, in their beliefs, "sending innocents to god"...

Somehow humanity really needs to solidly inform the evangelical death-cultists that we really do not want anything to do with their god damned gods, nor with their insane "heaven" fantasy.. nor do we want them to continue building their overly-prophesied advertised "hell" on this planet earth...

If what Roosevelt described above is happening with the Evangelical movement in the US, then, using his definition, it could be regarded as fascistic.

Jane, Thank you for that quote. But the fact is, IT IS NOT happening in the US. I am the only one that has posted on this topic that lives in the United States. Due to the horrible situation in Iraq, it seems that everything about American life is being distorted by the rest of the world. America is still a democracy as it was founded on and it will always will be one.
