Lol, thats what I thought when I first read this. I failed the first time but passed second time round. Point is, if you're ready you'll pass. I wasnt ready the first time, I knew that before going in but my instructor told me it was just nerves. Much better second time lol.

a friend of mine recommended a hypnosis mp3 that was for passing your driving test. I gave it a go and passed with flying colours - try leadingminds.biz - only a fiver!

failed 1st attempt

Postby Guest on Mon Sep 10, 2007 2:12 pm

I failed my first attempt last week because I left 'too much' room when driving around parked cars????

Really really annoyed about this because i have a severe problem with RRC and i didn't get asked to do this - my manoevers were bay park and turn in the road.

Next test booked for this week - hope i don't get asked to RRC

I passed at last

Postby guest12092007 on Wed Sep 12, 2007 3:03 pm

I'd just like to say that I've passed my test at last, third time lucky with four minors. My maneuvers were "turn in the road" and "reverse round the corner".

For everyone who has failed recently, keep trying; its the only thing you can do. Please read my previous post in the quote below. You can see how frustrated I sounded. You'll be able to drive one day soon, and when you've passed you'll forget about most of the hardship and determination it took to achieve.

Keep right on to the end of the road...

On the test I've done today and my first test in June I've had to drive in torrential rain and severe flooding. But today I also had to deal with huge traffic jams from all the kids being off school! My test lasted 55 minutes because of it! I did my two manoeuvre's perfectly as well, but got a serious for positioning. It was raining so hard today I could barely make the lines out!

But what really annoys me is that the next available driving test for me is mid September, two months away! Its so farcical paying £48.50 and then having to wait that long to just take it again.

I actually feel calmer after writing this. Thanks :)
Good luck to everyone take their tests in the future.

passed!!!

i passed my test in early march...5th time by the way, i was so devestated, i cried for hours, and i can't believe it every1 thought i would pass first time round, i was so slopppy i just didn't care, my concentration levels were like 1%...so i took a break from driving and went back after about 6 months, i did about 5 hours and went in for the practical test and passed...and the funny thing was i actually thought i'd forgotten how to drive but in reality my driving was much calmer which is what got me through...to any1 who is takin their test...good luck, and remember safe driving is what gets u there, and not driving like a maniac...lol

4th time lucky??

Postby emzie361 on Thu Sep 27, 2007 10:26 am

I took my third test yesterday and I really thought i'd passed! I got 1 minor and two major. The majors were for going through a green light !!!! on traffic lights. Apparently the light changed to red quickly and was red by the time i got to the other side of the road! Isn't that the point of amber?? The second major was for being slightly over the centre line when turning right!

To be honest I thought they were harsh! The last two times I deserved to fail!! But this time I don't think it was fair grrrr!!!!

Glad to read this post, doesn't make me feel so bad!!

Driving test

Postby beccap001 on Thu Sep 27, 2007 10:42 am

I have my first test today and I am petrified!!!! I have practiced for months and am not naturally good at driving, I have tried very hard to learn..

I hope I pass but if I don't I will read the feedback, be dissapointed and try harder next time.

Failing is such a harsh word. "Not passing" your test isn't the end of the world. It is there to assess if you are safe enough to drive on the roads with other people who have passed.

I would gladly not pass 5 times if it meant I didn't have a horrific crash with someone because I wasn't quite ready.

For some people it is nessesairy to not pass first time as it makes them realise what parts are their weaknesses.

Will let you know how I get on later on today!!!

I Passed!!!

Postby beccap001 on Thu Sep 27, 2007 3:50 pm

I passed my test!!!

I was ready.

If you don't pass there will be a reason. I had 7 minor faults.

Still nervous so I am doing Pass-Plus.

Keep practicing. Keep learning, you will get there eventually.

It's so unfair!

I live in Hastings on the south east coast and today was my first test and guess what, I failed!. Got up, had a gd breakfast, examiner picked me up. Drove round for the hour before, even though it was pouring extremley hard!. Got to that dreaded test time. My examiner was 110% sure I'd pass as my driving is of a very good standard!. Sat in the office and then the fun began. The most misserable borring examiner came out and called my name. Checked the paper work, didnt even introduce himseld and just said ''lead the way''. I still don't know his name :? . Anyways Got to the test centre car park, eyesight test finer, show me/tell me fine. Got in the car, belted up and ready to go. Went out and the first 30 mins were ace, couldn't have gone any better! Reverse around the corner went fine, you name it I was really chuffed!. Hit the dual carriageway and the fun began. Bearing in mind heavy wind and rain I have a cyclist swerving infront of me whilst there is heavy oncoming traffic. Slowed right down, overtook, no problem! but a little shakey. Got 10 mins from the test centre and a foreigner pulls out infron of me, this is when the failing streak began  . The foreigner cuts up a white van infront, makes my examiner pissed off, and starts throwing remarks at him. Got to about 5 mins before the test centre and got to the roundabout. Check to the right and see that Ive got a guy indicating right so I gave way. Next thing I know the guy changes his mind and indicates off at the last minute. My examiner then goes ''we haven't got all day, we need to go!'' and at that point I saw him tick the major box. Could not believe it. I felt the anger rising and as I was about to indicate left just after some parked cars for the test centre turning a woman flings open her door. I swerved right quickly as no oncoming traffic was coming. The examiner at this point has grabbed the wheel and said ''that was far to f****ng close. I looked at him as if to say what the hell are you doing. took a left, bay parked back at the centre fine. I knew I had failed because of that and so did he. The ck r still took the pleasure of totalling the score up even though he knew I had failed. And then those words came ''I am sorry to say that on this occassion you have been unsuccessful''. My heart sank. He got out the car, my instructor came over stunned I had failed. He sat in the car and I explained what had happened. He said that no way in the roundabout situation should I have got a major for that, and infact I was correct in swerving to miss the car as I had no other choice. He says it's best to complain to the DVLA as the test sounds very unfair. I am truely gutted, I wanted this so bad and the insult of waiting another month is truely pants. Im no chav, thug or anything, just a normal person who goes to college etc and all I wanted to do was pass so bad. I found it hard to believe the comments that some people made about the examiners, but now I believe them 110%. Some are dead nice, others are horrible. Hope I pass next time!!!!!!! :(
