Something has gone on here. There is a missing post between my 2 posts, which was the one that gave the game away, in which the noisy guitar had suddenly turned into an acoustic.

My friend uses an acoustic, not an electric. This is the problem with acoustics, you can't control the volume unless strumming quietly.

Classical guitars suit classical music. Electric guitars suit most types of modern music. I play electric guitar, electric bass guitar (5 string) and acoustic steel strung guitar. I must have my steel strings, with stainless steel windings. They sound like me.
nylon strings sound fine, but they sound like someone else, not me.

I just think that the guitar is an extension of the penis. In the wrong hands it can be an extension of the ego, but in the right hands it can be beautiful like with Jeff Buckley. He was true beauty but he sadly died.
