Please can someone give me advice??
My friend is braiding my hair in the next day or two. I've got long soft hair so she's just braiding my hair, I'm not putting in extensions, but I can't figure out how to tie off the braids as my hair is so soft it'll just unravel. She's only done it african hair before so usually she just braids to the end and it slowly unravels over time, but my whitey hair will be undone by evening! I don't want to use elastics, I've hear about using glue ... but what glue? and will it work???
thanks!

loopy123 wrote:Beware! I had Racoon extensions on the 20/12 & was told they'd last at least 3 months. Within days they'd started to fall out which often happens but they also shed like real hair so my remaining extensions now look really thin & sparse. I'm no stranger to extensions but they're the hardest to maintain. They look really good when done professionally but I'm really disappointed & feel I've wasted £600 as I'm getting them taken out next week. Good luck.

Comment: Better to use Racoon, & have them come out, than to use
Great-Lengths extensions, which are never going to come
out unless they take your own hair with them, & leave
you bald!!! Very damaging, & if you leave them in, your
going to be bald period!! You can't leave them in, or you'll
be bald, so you have to take them out, which leaves you
bald. Always avoid extensions if you can. Use clip-ons!!!!!

Reply: That is a very fair price. Just don't use the bonding glue that
"Great Lengths" uses. It is damaging, & impossible to remove.
It will literally rip your hair out. Don't let anyone tell you its safe,
or that it does what your own natural hair does. Absolutely Not!!
You might as well apply cement to your head.

i have been getting hair extension for a few years now i go to a hair dressing salon called "hair at nail and beauty" based in newcastle upon tyne city centre.

the woman (Dawn) has all hairdressing certificates and now trains other at a hairdressing school.

she uses cinderella hair which is human hair and so soft she only charges £400 for full head which i thought was expensive but not now after i have read all the previous posts.

YOUR BEST BET WILL BE THE CLEAR INVISIBLE ELASTIC, AS WITH THE GLUE IT MIGHT JUST BE TOO MESSY

100% Natural Human Hair Extensions

Real hair will move and feel like your own, and extensions don't get more natural than when you use the real thing. You can use heated appliances such as curling tongs or straighteners on your hair extensions. ‘Great Lengths’ hair extensions are the best, Because I had them done at a great salon in plymouth devon :D

Lord & Cliff fusion Hair extensions

Postby Melodye on Tue Jun 28, 2005 2:32 am

I had a certified friend of mine put in Lord & Cliff extensions. I had them in my hair for 3 weeks and they looked great. One day I sat in a hot tub for a while (with my hair braided across the back of my head) and when I got out all, the hair fused together leaving me with two huge baseball size globs of pure glue balls attached to my scalp. The next day I sat under a dryer at a salon for 5 hours as they soaked my hair with extension solution. They were able to pull the glue balls away from my scalp but most of my hair had to be cut off. I used to have long hair, now it barely reaches my shoulders. I have just strands of hair left at the back of my head. Has this happened to anyone?? Now I need extensions just to look normal again. I feel almost bald..
I heard Great Lenghts are the best extensions out there. Any comments on that? and what would the cost be???
