Extensions

I have had both great lengths and racoon extensions and can say without shadow of a doubt that great lengths are/were by far the best and far superior.

The racoon hair was too high maintenance, too heavy and very unrealistic .... I couldnt even run my hands through it. The bonds were large and uncomfy, very jaggy and to me, very noticeable, not good considering I had them in for my wedding !!!!!!!!!!!

The great lengths had no downside, from start to finish (3months) they were a dream, looked amazing, felt amazing and were just ace. They required little maintenance and basically were just wash n go, minimal styling etc, it was like having my natural hair, plus the bonds were sooooooo small !!!!!!!!!!

The racoon hair cost me £300 for a full head, the great lengths cost me £700 for a full head but was definately well worth it. Both those costs included cuts, colours, supplies etc.

Gimme great lengths any day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had Racoon hair extensions fitted 5 weeks ago in a local salon & I am so disappointed with them.

I've already been back twice, the first time she had put a bad batch in at the back & it had totally matted my hair together. This was taken out & replaced.

The second time it was falling out in handfuls & shedding like mad, she put me 15 free one's back in.

It seems the glue bonds have turned white, I have been told that the oil from my own hair is getting inside the bonds, making them weak, hence the hair drops out.

Has anyone else experienced anything similiar ??? These cost me £300.00.

Thanks

Jen

i think in general hair extensions are completely worth the money if you are able to keep up with the maintenance of them, racoon hair extensions are fantastic BUT completely over priced!! can someone please share why they cost so much?? I was quoted at my nearest hairdresser for the shortest length - a full head £700!! im now wondering how much the long length costs.
Also another question...Do you guys literally get your extensions out and then put straight back in again? My hair's wrecked now... i've had them in 4 times now - a break in between the 2nd time i got them in.
BEWARE people with thin/fine hair - NOT a good idea to get extensions!! you'll most likely regret it...APPLY PLENTY HAIR RECONSTRUCTORS/TREATMENTS your hair will eventually grow!!

Hi,
I just wanted to say I've had great lengths extensions in now for 8weeks now and i love them they gave me a new lice of energy and made me feel great with loads more confidence. Be warned the first couple of night you dont sleep to well, well i didnt it felt like kneedles in my head all night lol. just till you get used to them.
I have always used all the products by great lengths to wash my hair and remember to always anti tap. and brush. Buy the special great lengths brush and brush morning and night. (can hurt a little) You do need to be willing to do the maintenance of them. But worth it. Mine cost me £500. and they come down to my bra strap.
I had mine done at a top salon in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and they are brill if i ever want to ask anything i just pop in and they help me out.
I would just recommend anyone looking into having extension check out the salon / stylist doing them. Maybe see other peoples if possible and deff check they are qualified to do them.
AND be ready for the work/and time needed that comes with them.

Good look and hope you love them as much as i do. Deff worth every penny if it makes you so much happier.
GREAT LENGTHS ARE BRILL ! :D
