no but when on holiday once with my parents i used the fire escape stair well and got trapped not realising you couldnt get back through the doors cos they were one way! i spent what felt like an eternity banging on the doors from floor to floor until a (non-english speaking) hotel warden heard me and let me out... i was so scared i was gona be stuck there for hours and nearly in frantic tears

Not in reality, but I did recently see photos of a massive one in an oil field that was caused by the ground collapsing after they sucked the oil out of the porous rock.
