I think in Russia they pay a flat rate of 13%. Then again they aren't exactly known for their luxuries such as health.

I wish we paid a flat rate here. NO, the people that make more pay more. The ultra rich keep American afloat and the government really makes them pay. I don't think that's fair.
My taxes are about 37%. That's just income taxes. Single without children.... I'm f*cked. Achieving.... f*cked. I'll be voting for McCain come November! If Obama get elected.... I'm truly f*cked.

One of my family members, before he died paid 75% income taxes. He was even f*cked by Uncle Sam after his death.

I totally agree. A flat rate is a lot fairer.
Sure I can understand tax rebates or discounts for people on struggle street, but the base rate (before any of that is taken into account) should be the same fore everyone.

I never have understood the humor to Spinal Tap. I have the movie at home but I never can get into it.

I told them they had to be finished by 4. It's is now 4:11 and they are almost finished packing up. It actually sounds pretty good. I'll be on my way home very soon.

Sorry to reply so late, I only just checked back here now.

I bought "This is Spinal Tap" many years ago, but I've since given it away because it's not all that funny. I think overall it appeals more to people who are into metal because much of it is sending up the stuff-ups of bands like that, such as the scene where the dude drew a Stone Henge monument piece on a napkin, but accidentally put " (inches) instead of ' (feet). The Kiss logo was drawn on a napkin too and every time it's been made into a badge, sticker or whatever the K isn't quite even because that's the way Paul Stanley originally drew it.

I think Spinal Tap does have some classic lines in it, such as the one at the end of this clip: Clicky

The sequel to "This is Spinal Tap" is an abysmal pile of crapolla. So much so, I don't even remember what it was called. lol
