Hiya everyone!

I am fine thanks, whoever was asking (perhaps one or two of you "guests" could sign up so I can chat about high heels with you?)

I'm coping better with my stilettos now than before. 4inches has become the norm for a workday. I've bought a pair of slippers as suggested so I can rescue my feet if things get really painful but I've found I'm using them less now, guess I'm just getting used to the higher heels.

I'll admit I've struggled on a couple of slippery mornings recently and I haven't bought any grippier shoes yet so I've had one or two anxious moments on frosty/slushy pavements!

Whichever charming guest says I'm thick, I'm definitely not, I just love wearing my gorgeous sexy heels enough that I carry on even when they aren't very practical (I thought that was the point of stilettos anyway?)

Sexyshoes, I'm intrigued by the idea of you slipping in high heels and thinking its fun...would love to hear more about this! Anybody else have a similar view?

Where did you get a pair and what are they like?

I am glad you are finding the going a bit easier in heels. To be honest I still prefer changing into slippers in the office and just wearing heels to and from work. I find it more comfy and think it must be good for my feet to get out of heels into slippers.

I'm doing fine with my heels now thankyou. I've been wearing my higher stilettos all day for a long time now (but I find I can slip them off if my feet need a break.) In some ways I'm glad the cold slippy slidey days of winter seem to be behind us but I still think snow is soo pretty and I miss it.

Can anyone help me with advice for wearing heels all day.

I love wearing heels, but after a couple of hours they start to feel un-comfortable, and also my toes feet "scruched tight" in the pointed bit at the front.

I have also twice recently nearly had an accident in the office running up or down the stairs in my heels, _ how can I stop this happening.

Hope someone can offer some advice.

love my heels, wouldn't be without them! i walk on tip toe round the house out of habit cos i wear heels so much (very bad i know). yes i have to be careful and i do slip and slide at times but i love my heels. even wore them through out both of my pregnancies, without any problems, no bad back or any of that. it's very rare i wear flats, and hubby says i look funny in them cos he's used to me being on my heels (i'm 5"8, and then some with my shoes on) luckily he's 6"2 so he's stiil taller than me! lol!

Do you mean that when you are shoeless or barefoot you walk around on tip toe, as though you were still wearing heels?

If so I know exactly what you mean. When I arrive at the office where I work I slip my heels off, but still find myself walking around on my tippy toes, - just habit I guess. I go in my stockings feet all day around the office for comfort.

I find mud difficult to walk on, in my heels. We have just moved to a new house, and he contractors are still working on the site. The roads and pavements are not finished, and when it rains it is very muddy.

Unfortunately, I have to walk through all this to get to the bus stop on my way to and from work!! Of course the sensible thing would be to wear flats or wellies, but you know how we girls love our heels so I end up walking accross the slipperey mud in my high heeled black shoes with ankle straps!! I am always afraid of slipping and landing in the mud, but luckily this has'nt happened (yet!!).

The other problem is when I get to work my shoes are really muddy. I usually take them off and just go shoeless in proprty leeting office where I work, or take a pair of slippers in my bag to wear round the office. At first felt a little self-conscious being without my heels in the office, but it is just to much hastle to carry another pair of heels with me all the time!!

Anyone got similar experiences, or advice for walking through the mud safetly, please.

I have wearing stilettos (4"+) for over 25 years and wear them every day rain, hail and shine, as for mud I normally wear stiletto boots and let the heel sink to stop a bit of the slipping I have never slipped over in the mud yet.

I know exactly what you mean about muddy paths, they can really be tricky if you have sexy girlie shoes on!! Even a thin film of mud can make an ordinarily grippy path quite slippy...

I walk to work by a riverside every morning the path there is permanently wet and always covered in a muddy mossy film. Its normal tarmac so its not boggy or anything but my stilettos can feel very slippy sometimes.

2 peices of advice if you have to cope with a muddy path with slippery heels on...firstly, go slowly and second take little steps coz you'll reduce the risk of you slipping!! Not great advice if you have try and run for a bus tho!! I hope you don't get mud on your skirt!!
