how long after stopping the pill?

hi all. i took my last pill 29th may, had a normal period. then last wednesday/thur, had 2 days of what i think is the 'withdrawal bleed' and really bad pains in my ovaries. now a week later, i have the wost cramp in the right side of my stomach. im nearly in tears. had unprotected sex twice in last few days but doubt pregnant yet. i know its prob my body settling down (been on the pill 7 years). any ideas/own stories would really help x

Yeah, I know, I'm a guy in a "pregnancy" forum. My wife went off the pill to get pregnant and didn't for 7 months with our first, and 11 months for the second. I guess it's all in the way the pill chemistry and body chemistry are all blended together and reacting. All I can say is to bid your time, you'll get there. As for the g/f that skipped and got preg. I'll bet she had skipped quite a lot more and her hormonal level was so messed up. If she didn't want to get pregnant, why didn't she take the morning after pill?

I stopped the pill about 5 weeks ago may sound silly question but does thisean I can't get preg until after I have a period and that could tale up to 6 months sorry to sound bit dumb
