Who is most at risk of being infected with HIV?
Anyone having unprotected sex (Anal or vaginal) with an infected person can be infected with HIV. In this country gay men have been disproportionately affected, with around 80% of infections within the UK occurring through sex between men

That's why gay men are lumped into the same category as whores and drug users!

I did state it wrong.
I meant to imply that half of all gay men have an STD.
But the percentaage of heterosexuals is far less than that.

And if you look at who is predominately getting the HIV infection (80%)... you will see it's gay men.

But you you know how to Google... so you can find out yourself!

Do the math... Gay men make up what... less than 10% of the total poulation?
But yet acquire 80% of of the new infections!
Can you understand the logic of why blood banks do not want gay blood NOW?

Then ask yourself what would happen if 20% of all donations were made by gay men?
It's easy... other people and children would start getting infected by the bad blood that slips by!

But that's not Scott's concern... he will have his own blood stored for his personal use.

Everyone reads that page and latches on the the fact that new heterosexual infections outnumbers that of the gay men.
But you have to remember a key fact!
GAY MEN MAKE UP ONLY 10% OF THE TOTAL POPULATION!

Therefore getting HIV is tremendously more likely to happen from a gay dude than from a heterosexual.

It works out that 80% of new infections are in the gay population.

and the number of people with HIV/AIDS in the UK is 63,500,

Of which 47,625 are gay.

THAT THEREFORE MEANS:

6,013,290 gay people are UNINFECTED! OVER 6 MILLION!

So, 0.7% of gay people in the UK are infected,

99.3% of gay people are uninfected.

So, your argument is based upon PREJUDICE and NOT facts.
