tights for men

Postby stripe on Thu Jun 28, 2007 8:01 pm

i really cant understand the that the idea of men wearing tights is odd - there practical and beneficial so whats wrong with it, part from the fact that tights are actually classed as unisex fashion now (with manufacturing lines specific to men) et not just girls fashion makes it even more convincing for men to be wearing them. what is it with people who associate them with fetish clothing and sexual desires as well - after all they dont squeeze your nuts do they...? to me there there are an item of clothing that replaces socks and underwear in one piece with the added health benefits such as warmth and leg support.

Women who run generally find men in tights attractive (it's really seeing how the other gender fills their spandex as they already know how they fill theirs).

There is nothing inappropriate with guys in tights. There are a couple of guys in our office who change in the company washroom into tights before their jog home. Sometimes they end up wandering about waiting for one another until they're all ready. So we are exposed to their anatomy, but all the girls here have no complaints.

Men Wearing tights or Support pantyhose

Postby my view on Sun Sep 30, 2007 5:46 am

There are very good reasons for men to wear support pantyhose, and some of the most important ones are leg and blood circulation; leg health; leg and feet swelling; leg vein health issues; and leg pain.

Women have been able to wear whatever they choose, whenever they choose, including men's clothes. In fact over the years they have taken over many men's clothing options, which have caused men to abandon many of them, making what used to be men's clothing now women's clothing. Nobody gives a second thought to anything any woman decides to wear, because they have declared absolute right to wear whatever they want whenever they want. No one thinks women are strange, wierd, odd, unusual, gay, or crossdressing because of any particular article of clothing they choose to wear.

It is high time that men have the same ability and freedom to choose articles of clothing without people giving it a second thought; the same freedoms and abilities women demanded and didn't care what anyone thought. While this should be true for any choice, it should especially be true when it comes to articles of clothing that provide some health or quality of life or relief of pain benefits that support pantyhose can bring under many situations.

I believe both men and women should have the free choice to wear or not wear pantyhose. While both men and women should also be free to decide whether to shave their legs or not when wearing pantyhose; I personally think both men and women should shave their legs if they are going to wear pantyhose, especially if they are going to wear them in the open such as in shorts, skirts, or dresses. I don't believe women should be required to shave if wearing hose, but then men have the choice of shaving when wearing hose. If women are expected to shave when wearing hose, so should men be expected to shave when wearing hose.

Old post I know (then I have only just joined the forum) but it is a subject that is dear to my heart.

Well said 'my view' my sentiments exactly

I posted a similar slant in the General area 'Fashion' topic:-

"It is evident from these posts that there are loads of us blokes out there want to wear hosiery of some sort as normal everyday wear. We are not perverts or weirdoes (well there may be some I suppose) just individuals that want to exercise our rights to wear what we like when we like, just as women have that right, without ridicule and derision from society. It is also evident that the hosiery industry recognises that a significant number of their customers are men and also from the fact that several hosiery manufacturers produce tights/hold-ups specifically for the male anatomy. I would like to wear shorts all year long but this time of year the old ‘pegs’ get cold – obvious solution wear winter weight tights or hold-ups – obvious really but if I went out wearing shorts and tights I would be inviting that derision and ridicule and be branded as some sort ‘deficient’. So hear is the conundrum how do we, not insignificant, numbers change the way society views men wearing hosiery? It may mean collectively taking the ‘bull by the horns’ and just get out there and be normal with it. ‘Cos if that were to happen I am sure that we would find a plethora of acolytes. Any suggestions”

What can we do to redress the situation? :?:

I started wear tights I was about 10 years old - I stolen some new pack of tights from my sister and found it so comfortable and Im still wearing my own tights -- I usual like Wolford Fatal 50 cos it so softy and it help to make the blood flow more easily - tights are now for men and women as unisex as you know men work outside that need warmer tights plus if you sit too long at office or anything you need tights to protect your blood from deadly DVT -- Ive read some news that 60 Australian pilot who work for Qantas wearing support tights to protect thier health as Qantas health rules for staff must wear tights if use long haul flights... same with other airlines as well -- I do wear tights cos it so comfortable...also wearing mini skirt as well it need to be change in men fashion...

Whilst I don't wear tights myself, I certainly think that those who want to (men or women) should be free to choose.
God bless from Colin.
