Most immigrants to the UK are not powerless or displaced, they are greedy gimmes with their eyes on our benefit system, our healthy system and whatever they can steal, r**** or corrupt with abysmal religious practices. I am against immigration of all kinds, especially illegal that is ignored. And I don't just hate the blacks and asians, the eastern europeans are flooding us too with their sex trades, shoplifting gangs, beggars and consummate benefit cheating. I hate them because they are sneaking into this country to steal facilities and finance from the hard working tax payer without doing a stroke of work themselves. They take jobs that young english kids need, they claim benefits in dozens of different names. I hate them because they flout our laws but demand we take their medieval religious laws as our own, I hate that they demand all the time that we toe their line but any englishman who dares stand up forhis country is labelled a racist. I hate them because they have infiltrated every part of society but when they are challenged they play the race card and governments bend over backwards to give in to them. And I have no self esteem problems, I work hard, pay my taxes and educate my kids but I despair that it is all for nothing and will all end up in the hands of foreigners who are here because this country has become a soft touch.

Hmm, yes, thing is, living in Scotland there are always comments made whilst not in the presence of the English such as "who's against them in the rugby? We'll support their opposition" etc and having lived in both places I find that generally us scots are more family orientated i.e. weddings are more about having a laugh and spending time as a family than getting royally pissed and not being able to remember being punched in the nose the next day.


Sure, this is probably a generalisation but Mum's marrying James on Saturday and he and his family are english. His sister who lives in yorkshire isnt coming due to "not feelin the best" having come off her anti-depressants without telling her doctor. On mum's side, however, we have elderly relatives coming up from south england (originally scottish) and relatives from Canada (also originally scottish). We didnt expect them to make it considering how far away they are but they are more willing than many of the yorkshire lot hehe.

Is having unpopular opinions a good reason to ban and silence someone?

Would it not be better for all if there was a free exchange of ideas and opinions, popular and unpopular?

i don't need to read every post. my comments are about the posts in this thread. i may not agree with them, but i don't find them offensive. even if i did find them offensive, i don't believe in censoring speech i find offensive because i consider that the price i pay for my own freedom of speech. no one is forcing anyone to read the 'offensive' posts.

I dont think Gladys is interested in any truth in this matter (or for that matter the truth of any supposed contraversial subjects). Gladys' little (and i mean little) bubble is far too comfortable for her to want to peep outside a bit and understand the real world.

Maybe if the immigrants were forced to live in our homes, hoover our carpets, cook our meals and kiss our arses, then maybe Gladys would think it was ok for them to be here - aferall they're not 'real' people are they, we dont have to think about them 'as people' at all.
