I went on the minipill when I was 15 which didn't effect my weight but I have real trouble swollowing pills. this resulted in me getting pregnant at 16. After much thought I had a termination and was told my only contraceptive option was the "injection". Each injection lasts three months and I had two of these and in 6 months I put on over three stones!
With such a drastic weight gain I was told to give the new implant a try, which I did and now no matter what I do i cant shift any of the weight that I have gained.
My emotions are now all over the place and I find myself crying if we run out of washing powder!!!
Do you find your hormones are varied with the implant?
i am so glad you all are going through the same thing no one told me how bad this stupid implant would be i am 2 stone bigger too. the pepole that put mine in said you only put on a tiny amount but 2stone is not tiny .
my clothes dont fit and i hate my body which i used to be comfortable with. why are they not tellin us the truth about this implant i put on so much size i even thought i was pregnant at one point. if any one can work out how to get the wieght off then share with the rest of us so we can all get a miricalei dont want any girl to feel as low as i do right now, anyone thinking off having it put in dont it maybe quick and easy but its not worth ending up hating yourself

I got the Implant in last year and thought it was great, light periods lasting no more than a few days then i went on holiday and it lasted for a full 2 weeks, since then it has gradually gotten worse.l
I am not haveing a period once ever 5 weeks and im presently lasting for approx 4 weeks and its really starting to get to me.
I havent put on any weight with this but my hair comes out in clumps when i wash it.
Thinking about asking for it to be removed but the pill doesnt agree with me and makes me very grumpy and depressed
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
Chris

i had my implant in two days after my 17th birthday in 2004, they told me i had to be on my period, but i wanted it as soon as i herd about it, so we booked a date when i estimated when i would start my period.
The day that i went to have it i wasnt on my period so i lied and said i was anyway! Since then i have a period every 3 weeks, and it lasts for 3 weeks, and there VERY heavy! Does any one know if thats because i wasnt on my period when i had my implant??
It doesnt realy bother me as much as it does my fiance!
