implant and pill

Was just wondering whether anyone knows whether it would be alright to take the pill even though i have the implant. I have come on my period and am going away for a week. I still have pills left (in date) and am hoping that taking them would stop my period for the week. I took one today, just wondering whether this is really bad for me? Or even if it will work?

Hey there, it is perfectly fine to take the pill while you have the implant, i have done the same it sorts your cycles out for you. i had a problem with the implant where my period wouldn't stop and was spotting for ages, so the doctor put me on the pill, it just keeps you regular it's a good idea really, obviously there's the advantage that if your forget to take it you've got the bar as back up
