You obviously have no clue what she's talking about -- maybe yours didn't get infected but I've had mine for a year and while it can be fine for a month one day I'll wake up with a keloid. I have one now, it's the biggest I've ever had and it's bleeding and I'm freaking.

The other chick was right, you can use sea salt, or a professional pericing antibacterial soap that has no perfumes or anything in it...
Worst case scenario, if you go to your doc they can give you an antibiotic which will help. -- as a matter of fact, the last time I had one I got a nasty spider bite and the antibiotics from that healed my peircing right up. The one on my wrist was infected too but now it's all good
the infection is brought on by sweat, clothes rubbing, pools with chlorine levels that aren't quite right, etc. Basically you're suseptable to infection for 1-2 yrs. Just keep cleaning it, you'll be fine
