I failed my test today for the first time, all because i didn't check my blind spots - i'm so annoyed at myself because it's something i always check. i had perfect conditions: good weather, clear traffic, nice well known area, i just feel like im not gonna be able to get them again. :/

I am 17 years old and i just passed my driving test there last week after 3 attempts. Here are the reasons for failing to help others if they need:

1st test: Didnt look in my left wing mirror when the instructer asked to pull up on the side of the road 30 secs beofre the end of the test. (Just to give you a little idea of how nice the instructer was, he failed his own granny on christmas eve.)

2nd test: Failed for driving to close to an oncoming van, to be honset i cant even remember the van going past.

3rd test: I honestly thought i had failed, but never.

Conclusion: Dont ever give up, i wasnt goin to do my 3rd test only for my lesson instructer that booked it for me. Me and my girlfriend will be so happy when i get a car. Just looking for the right one. :)

i am 25 and basically starting again, i passed my test 3 years ago and i was 1 week away from have been qualified for 2 years, however that weekend i was caught on my mobile on the motor way so couldnt even pretend it wasnt me so BANG 6 points, licence revoked.

i passed my theory in feb but bare in mind when i did mine it was 30 questions right out of 35 i have my test tomorrow having paid out ÂŁ120 in 4 hour lesson for 2 days, very tiring and the worst thing is i know i can drive!!!

i hope i pass so i can stop pooping my pants every time i hear sirens coming up behind me as i still drive  heehee!

i failed my driver's test

Postby swedishpinkbean on Thu Aug 21, 2008 2:49 pm

So yesterday morning at 8:30 am i failed my driver's test like really bad! The driving instructor didn't even tell me what I did wrong, so I'm thinking I did everything wrong. I even ran a STOP sign that was behind a tree that i didn't see at all! I feel like crap and it's all I've been thinking about. And now I get to have my dad drive me around everywhere... It's so sad I'm 24 years old and I can't drive! I really hate doing it anyways we should all go back to horses or covered wagons. *sigh* It's a really depressing thing.

Hey i got my driving test 2moz Monday 1st and im really nervous already. butterfly's kicking in already and im just tryin to relax myself a warm bath and soem music should do the trick. i've seen peoples mistakes for not looking in blindspot and not stopping when oncoming cars approach you when doing a reverse around the corner. oooo im a little bugger for not looking in blind spot. im going OTT ( Over the top ) on my observations. Fingers crossed aye!?

Driving tests!!!!!!!!

Postby Jane29 on Thu Oct 09, 2008 8:07 am

It is just the most horrible thing to learn to drive and it is even worse taking the test. My advice to anyone is to just keep going at it and at it. Do not go away or give up until you hear the word pass! The more tests you have the more experience you have of taking the test and eventually you will be past caring. Driving tests are subjective, it depends on the examiner. I failed and failed for petty reasons until I got an examiner that was prepared not to be petty. If you are finding it difficult just keep at it with sheer determination and grit and you WILL get there in the end.

hey everyone i have failed 6 times, always on silly things that i don't notmally do, usually caused by nerves!
I have been a learner for nearly 2 years and had 3 different instructors but still no luck yet, i dont want to quit because of the money i have spent but im scared that i will never pass!
Has anyone failed more than 6 times then passed?

ive failed 6 times, haven't done a test for 18 months but was driving anyway
im a good driver i just suffer from terrible nerves on any kind of test im the same on job interviews etc.
well i have now sold my car as i think its time i did it legally, my new driving instructor thinks im a brilliant driver so maybe the illegal driving has done me good, now i cant wait for my next test,

oh and i started my lessons on my 17th birthday i am now 20

It took me three times to pass the L Test.
The two failures were morale crushing but I was a better driver at the end of it all.
In contrast a girl friend of mine passed first time with minimal learner driving experience and opportunities.
However, neither me nor our friends felt safe with her at the wheel - she just did not know how to cope with driving situations as they crop up..
I never make mistakes.
I used to think I did.
But I was wrong.

I passed my test first time; that’s not brag, it’s because I had a good instructor and decent examiner. You can’t do much about the examiner but finding an instructor you can get along with really helps. After my test he drove me home and said, “Remember how hard it was getting your license, you can loose it just like that.” And snapped his fingers! Nice guy in other ways though!
I had to take the test again in Canada when I emigrated. At a four-way stop the guy from my right arrived just before I did so he had the right of way twice over. We waited for long time and I said to the examiner, “He has the right of way doesn’t he?” “Yes,” he replied, “but there are a lot of idiots on the road.” I’m sure if I hadn’t said anything I would have failed. Of course I had been driving for a number of years by then and had the confidence to talk to the examiner as an equal.

ugh im soon taking my driving test for the 3rd time! im so nervous and i KNOW im a good driver, i even took driving exams (not the actual driving test) and they all said i was a brillian driver. and that they dont know why i can manage to pass a stupid liscence test! also i feel like its just ur luck which instructor u have, my brother had a lady who was basicly blind and he ran 2 STOP signs and passed. serioulsy wtf and i almost touched the kurb! who cares anyways. i dont have to back up in a exact straight line anyways. but the worst part is the pressure of taling the test the 3rd time. because if i dont pass this time i have to retake my permit and wait another 6MONTHs till i can take my liscnce test again.... the world is cruel.
