yer it does work. if you comb some lemon juice throught your hair then let it dry in the sun your hair will get subtle highlights. oh and your supposed to wash it out afterwards so you dont get 'plastic hair' as someone mentioned before.
apparently a hairdryer does work cos its only the heat needed from the sun that makes it work.

I just tryed It i took a spray bottle with a dilute solution on 3/4 pure lemon juice and 1/4 water.... I sritzed it and blowdryed it It made my salon dyed highlights blonde-r but my dark blonde roots stayed dark blonde... This sux

ok , i need help. I have med. brown hair.. . and i want to use lemon juice. other ppl told me be because of my hair color, i should use a brush and wipe/ spread it through my hair w/out soaking it or getting it all over my hair. However will it bleach or lighten my hair greatily or will it look like a light brown? thanks

Lemon juice will lighten your hair if you have med brown to blonde hair. If your hair is darker, you'll end up with orange hair, so be warned. The best way to do this, for even cover, is to fill a spray bottle with lemon juice and water, to be safe, try 50-50 and see how that works, and add more lemon the next time for lighter results. Spray your hair when it's wet, and comb the lemon juice through. Keep doing this while you're outside, but don't put lemon juice in and then jump in a chlorine pool, then you'll get green hair. After an hour in the sun, go wash it out and use a heavy conditioner.

You can also use lemon shampoos and conditioners in the summer and leave your hair wet, and go out in the sun for about 30min. Your hair will gradually get lighter.

never put lemon juice on hair-esspecially on fine hair!!!! its very harsh and makes come out
