Leslie Ash breaks rib having sex

Actress Leslie Ash suffered a broken rib after hitting a bedside table while having sex with her husband, former footballer Lee Chapman.

Police originally arrested Chapman following the incident but he was released after Ash said she did not wish to proceed with any allegations.

The blonde star of sitcom Men Behaving Badly initially called an ambulance but abandoned the call.

Ash, 43, told the Sun newspaper: "We were making love and this happens. How embarrassing is that?

"The injuries happened when I hit a bedside table."

Scotland Yard issued a statement which said: "At approximately, 8.05am this morning, police were called by ambulance services to an address in Fulham, west London, following an abandoned call from a woman.

"A woman in her 40s was taken to a west London hospital suffering injuries including a broken rib. She remains in a stable condition and is being detained overnight for observation."

The statement went on: "A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident and taken to Fulham police station.

"The woman did not wish to proceed with any allegation of assault and the man was released. No further action was taken."

Chapman, 43, was a striker with Leeds United while Ash has become one of Britain's favourite actresses, enjoying a string of prime-time television roles.

Oh ye! why would the police have been notified if this happened when they were having sex, who'd have know, even if they when to hospital and she had told them she'd done it whilst having sex why would they disbelieve her? I bet hes given her a thump shes rang the police and the papers have got to hear about it, but to keep him she has denied these thumped her Who cares anyway, he couldnt have done any damage if he'd smacked her across the face those lips would have bruised him
