I came off the pill yesterday and had a diaphragm fitted...I am letting my body get back to normal after 7 years on contraception!

I can't wait to start trying for our baby!

Awesome hunn! I'm getting my IUD taken out Jan 15th so we'll be BD'ing it up come Feb. What will be VERY funny is if I fall pregnant in March as we already have my M-i-L and daughters birthday in December not to mention Christmas. Told hubby we will have to start up a savings account that we pay into all year just for the month of December lol. I haven't lost as much weight as I would have liked to but at this point I really don't care. Just looking forward to having another little one around the house, it will be my husbands first baby.

wooohoooo more ladies going to be trying the same time as us, we have decided to start trying in feb think hes aiming for a december baby lol. when you going to start on the folic acid bb? I started the begining of this month and cut down on my smoking too but its so hard with my job as its quite stressfull.

I come off the pill on 22nd September, my periods returned to normal straight away!! I come on every 17th to 21st of every month now and the pain is horrid!! I was on microgynon 30 for 4 years so it has taken 3 months for my body to regulate out!! I was ovulating a week and half ago and my god I am feeling wierd, I got the sorest nips u could imagine and my right side of my womb and round the bottom of my back had cramps on Friday! Gosh knows what that means but never had it b4! Just thought it was wierd that the sore nips and the cramps in the womb happened at the same time and never had it b4 this strong!! Well let's hope this month is the month ai, I'll kno around xmas if i'm pregnant or not!! Will let ya all know!!

i stopped taking my pill at the end of a packet which was the end of september, and had nothing since!!
not even the 7 day break bleed!!

i have been to the docs and she was really great ( i think its cos she was about 6 months pregnant)
she said it does take some people up to a year to get a period after coming off the pill, and as i have been on it for over 10 years its more likely to take longer.
but when i mentioned my sister has pcos she said she'd do a few blood tests for hormone levels etc (she had said they were meant to do the test at a certain point in my cycle, but at the moment i have no cycle, so they'd just do them now), just to check, that was about 4 weeks ago. all the tested levels and checks came back normal.
but still nothing!
the doc said if after 6 months of stopping the pill i still hadn't had anything to go back, so not i'm just waiting!
not stressing, cos theres not alot of point, it won't help !!

I went back to my doctors and she has said she will do some blood tests in about February time (needs me to have 2 periods as need to know 21st day) and find out why they irregular all of a sudden!

I came off my pill on the 1st December and got my period on the 31st! Not too bad! Hope it stays that way!....

You know something just hit me....... this is a thread about women WANTING (praying?) for their period..... I know its not funny (ttc and not having a period) but it just amused me as most women hate their period..... ok I'll shut up now lol. It's late and I'm going to bed

Ye it is when you think of it like that but you need your periods to become regular to help you conceive!
