I have shaved mine nearly every day since the first week or so of my one and only marriage. My then new wife said that it cuts down on the odor, and makes it easier to apply deoderant. I had never thought about it before. But she was right on both counts--I rarely have a problem with body odor, but I had it all the time before I started shaving--no deoderant ever seemed effective for more than half a day or so, including the anti-perspirants..

I'm a guy and what I do is snip the hair on chest and pits with sissors. I don't think shaving with a razor is my thing except on my face. excesive hair in the pitss, and chest is not of my desire and it also iritates my skin. I also trim hair on my legs and arms the same way. I feel better and don't think it is unmanly.

Nothing looks worse then seeing a man wearing a sweater on the beach...only to find out that it's not a sweater!

If you choose to trim then more power to you....there is nothing wrong with paying attention to how one looks. Myself, I prefer to shave...chest, back, arms, legs, pits.....all of it. Women love it! It shows off more muscle tone when you are shaved. Don't worry about what others think, all that counts is how you feel.
