I wish that it could be as easy as walking out the front door and not having anyone think that you where different just because of what you where wearing.
Unfortunatly in our society we have all done a great job with placing labels on people for what they do, and wear.
But yet women are allowed to wear whatever seems fit.
I wish that I would be able to dress in a skirt, or dress and be able to walk out the door without anyone placing a label on me.
I love the feel of women clothes on my body. I just love the way a tight dress feels clinging to my legs when I have stockings on.
I also love the way satin, and silk feel against my skin as well.
So, I guess until we all can agree I will just have to stay in the comfort of my womens clothes, in the comfort of my home!!

It's sometimes easier to wear something different away from home or on holiday where people don't know you. I was surprised how easily I was accepted wearing a kilt in our local and everyday life. I wear sarongs in the house too.
Best Regards from Colin - Have fun.

I'm sure that they will float yours too, Alfie, if you let your inhibitions go. You are certainly very interested in this topic. A future convert, no doubt!

heels?

Postby footjewels on Tue Aug 05, 2008 10:48 pm

I agree that more fashion freedom is a good thing.
Ive been wearing womens' sandals for years, along with toe rings too.... I prefer the styles and there's plenty more to choose from in the womens' section. Next usually have a good range of sandals. My favourites are toe-posts - flats or heels. Love to talk shoes with other women lol!
I also have a sarong I use to cover up when walking from the beach to the car.
:-)

Ok, I'm gonna have to stop you right there.

Wearing women's sandals is not "fashion freedom". It's freakery. Why? Because men have sandals too. Good ones. Not the range of styles yet, no, but wearing a feminine style made for a female is NOT the answer (not all of their styles are viable for us, in the first place).

Furthermore, wearing, presumably, female toerings, only makes matters worse, and is the real reason I'm even posting.

I've got 2 masculine toe rings (wide band, masculine designs, large circumference, etc - one is stirling silver with a celtic weave on it, the other is silver and black (cheaper materials though) ), and every girl I've met while wearing either one, has at least been interested because it's unusual, MOST have liked it, and MANY found it downright sexy.

The ONLY way this is possible is because NO other guys in my area wear such things, AND I have men's versions. If they start seeing freaks running around in women's sandals and fruity/girly ring (or rings), it would totally put them off, and that would absolutely suck ass.

I also have a couple of chains I wear around my opposite ankle - 1 at a time, 1 more "casual" and one more "dressy". Both are, again, masculine (one was designed explicitly FOR men, sold on a website with several others, also designed for men, by a woman, who knew that it was a good look, it just couldn't be girly. It's pure stirling, and custom sized. The other was a couple of cool black and silver chains I found at Busch Gardens VA, which I linked together and custom sized, and it matches the black and silver ring perfectly). I always wear the chain and ring on opposite sides, and never both of either. Often, just the ring, as that's the most casual look of all.

But I digress. Point is, it looks great, but like with the whole non-bifurcated lower garment thing, if "guys" (and I use that term loosely) insist on looking like girls, or just plain doing it in feminine ways, it will NEVER take off, and ultimately doom itself. Col may support such things in his quest, I don't.

Get yourself a nice wide-band ring, with a masculine design, or plain. Preferably in silver as gold just doesn't look right on white skin. You can find some decent stuff _, or at the beach (if you have a boardwalk). One of the better places is http://www.toerings.com/mensrings/mensrings.html (note the MENSrings part of that URL). I don't care for sized rings, personally, but you could always cut them and make them adjustable. Also, they are a bit expensive, and as I'm 6'2", 230lbs with a large frame, even those are a little narrow in band for my taste, but it's still a good place to start.

Follow that up with some hardcore searching for good men's sandals. The idea that you can actually fit in women's shoes is kinda scary. Either you are tiny, or there are some REAL amazons out there. lol I have a pair of Skechers that I love - nice leather upper, thick cushioned sole, arch support, nice tread pattern for grip - comfortable, quiet, and semi-dressy. There are lots of great styles, check in the stores, and _, including Zappos Couture (sp?) section. There used to be this one pair that had a back strap that went around the ankle/upper foot, and a loop for the big toe with a metal cap over it, and nothing else. Was all high quality italian leather, and looked awesome. Trouble was it was $300 USD and there was no way I was paying that amount. But the point is there are some good ones out there. Though you may have a hard time finding them now as it's already August.

THIS, gentlemen, is "fashion freedom" - something that may not be associated with guys traditionally - sandals, ankle bracelets, and toerings, PLUS stuff that is not always traditionally considered to be a good look for guys - shorts, sandals with pants, etc - paired up and done in a MASCULINE WAY, making it acceptable, AND attractive to women. Something that as a result, becomes seen as something straight men do (or at least can do).

Running around in frilly knickers, feminine skirts, and women's heels is NOT gonna cut it.

If we did, there would be no point in you staying here. You would get bored.
We give you a purpose in your life, Alf. This is our place anyway. If you look at joining dates (note everyone) we were here first. If you were willing to accept other people's opinions, we could all be friends.
Best Regards from Colin - Have fun.

Each person is their own person. I happen to log in as "Colin" at Skirtcafe, on occasions, but I don't think that you will see much more about me there, than I have already told you here. I also log in as "VXR_Col" at http://www.vxronline.co.uk/ occasionally, but then you don't like Vauxhalls, so nothing much for you there, either.

Try a Christian web site. You may be very grateful one day.

Skirtcafe is a properly moderated site, so take care. If you wish, I can tell them you are due to visit.
Best Regards from Colin - Have fun.
