Most girls are naturally hairy as well.

Why do so many shave or get waxed?

I certainly have no intentions of looking scruffy.

I care about my appearance.

I been thinking about shaving my legs for some time and was worried what other people would think, but reading this forum helped me to decide to just go for it! I went down the shops before and bought a good pack of disposable razors and went for it..... I cant believe how good it feels and my girlfriend thinks its looks hot!

Im sure i'll get laughed at a bit by friends but really its my body and i can who cares what i do.

Hey, that's exactly what I thought when I first got into the whole leg shaving thing, it's my body I can do exactly as I please and this then inspired me to then shave my arms, forearms, chest and underarms. That feeling of no hair on those body parts is so sexy and smooth.

I would encourage any man to give body shaving a try and would guarantee that after their first attempt they would love the smooth, hairless legs, arms etc... that they would never even consider going back to hairiness. The first time I did it I was adamant that this was the way it was gonna be - a hairless look and now I do not have any regrets. Who cares what society's rules may say about this. Men now have so many products like moisturisers, creams and stuff and male make up has even been marketed now. I have to spend a total of 45mins in the bathroom grooming myself and I feel it makes me feel good and have enormous feel good factor. Go on guys give it a go, you will be surprised with the results.

Also, I've just recently started shaving my legs and chest, and I've had razor burn in some areas, and I'm just wondering if this has to do with the sensitivity of newly shaven skin, or if I'm cutting too close to the skin, or if it's something else entirely.

When I had my back waxed the first time, the girl removed the hair down to my elbows, leaving the forearms with hair. The last time I went in, she asked me if I wanted her to blend it in (again stopping around the elbow) or remove it all, I opted to have it all removed. Now when I get my back waxed, I have her to wax my entire arms as well.

go for it but you will then have to do your face and your legs.
Maybe get them waxed!

I've just had the same experience. I've removed hair on and off in the past, while single. After doing it briefly, each time the maintenance effort got too much for me to bother with. But two days ago was the first time I've done it in a relationship.

I used Veet (similar to Nair but not as smelly) to do the legs, chest, back and all the bits inbetween. Used the trusty old razor for under the arms. Didn't do the arms as I didn't want to go "too far".

I discussed it with my partner beforehand, and when I did it, she first thought it looked weird, but then she touched, and now we both just can't get enough of it!! Bedtime is just bliss. I'll now be doing the arms ;)

She thought it was weird at first because she was used to me having hair. It was weird just as it's weird looking at your home street for the first time since a large tree or two disappeared in the last big storm - you get used to it.

A man's freshly shaved legs rubbing a woman's freshly shaved legs is just amazing.

Now I just gotta deal with the little red spots. Those are not-so-sexy. Nor is regrowth. Prickly! I gotta do something about that.

Any guys out there thinking of shaving, just try it! Point your girl (or guy, it really doesn't matter) to this whole discussion thread if they need some convincing.

And no, it doesn't somehow automatically make you gay, or a trans-anything. I have two gay friends, neither of whom shave anything other than their face. I'm straight and shave the lot now.

It's your body, and it's your life. Have a little safe fun with it :)

Having tattoos on both legs, I find that shaving my legs allows the colors of the tattoos to be more vibrant than it does when I don't shave.

People could care less if a man has hair on his legs or if they are smooth. A man with shaved and tanned legs looks better than a man with hairy legs.

My girlfriend likes my shaved body. :D

There are no problems. Well, I do have to keep covered up even in warm weather - tanning and laser is not a good combination.

Only a lack of money is stopping me from getting the rest of my body done.

As far as negative comments are concerned, they do not happen.
:D
I have had 14 sessions of IPl hair removing Legs , arms, face and public area. i very very happy with it. Expensive but works very good

Don't we all!! That is exactly how I felt when I first shaved my legs, now I am shaved from the neck down and don't have any desire to grow it back. I don't have much body hair to begin with, but I like the look and feel of being totally smooth. I have my back and arms waxed and shave everything else. Thinking about having my legs waxed next time.

As for the best hair removal cream, I have used Nair in the past. They have Nair for men, but Nair for women works just as well, and in some cases might even smell better.

my boyfriend is a pro mountain bike rider and he shaves his legs because if he crashes the wounds heal quicker and cleaner but as a personal opinion having been with hairy guys and now a hair free man i gotta say i actually like prefer it now! The only problem is when it grows back it seems coarser than mine but he keeps it pretty well maintained though, He even let me wax them once haha.
If you need to do it then do it because half the time now i dont even notice anymore.

From other comments and my experiences, I'm sure people perceive me as "odd" or "gay" but I do it because I enjoy it and so does my girlfriend. I guess I have no choice now because once I felt my bare skin, there's no way I wanted to go back to being a hairy guy.
GO for it,Im not gay and I have shaved my legs for years. They do look neat and clean looking. No comments from anyone.I love doing it.

Men shaving legs/underarm, nothing wrong with that

Postby krlparr on Thu Oct 02, 2008 8:19 am

Men shavin legs and underarm, nothing wrong with that. I shave and wax my legs/underarm.

I have problems with excessive heat intolerance and went to see a consultant endocrinologist (A person whom investiates hormone in balance). It was my consultant whom recommended I shave my legs and armpits.

Once a month I go to a beauty salon and have my legs wax proffessionally and between session I shave.

I use to use hair removal cream, but found this is messy and smelly.

I AM NOT gay, I'm happily married and have 2 kids. My wife is happy with me shaving and waxing. As a consequence of waxing and shaving I don't sweat so much underarm and reduce the chances of offensive body odour. As sweat harbours in hair and causes increase of bacterial growth and smells.

So all you men afraid of shaving leg/waxing, go ahead and do it, don't be afraid of gettin your legs waxed, walk into a beauty salon and do it. Most UK salons will wax you, it's just men are afriaid of the femminie enviroment.

Just break the ice, My beautician knows me by name, books me in for regualr appointments, treats me like any other payin client, any decent beautician should accept what come thorugh their door and treat you as a decent induvidual.
