If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost you to have your legs lasered?

Just a suggestion for keeping your legs smooth: Try waxing them. You have a couple of options here. First, you can go to a salon and get a full leg wax done in about an hour or less for around $60-80 (depending on the salon/spa you choose). The other choice is to go to a beauty supply store (Sally Beauty is a good choice) and purchase your own waxing supplies. If you are not sure what you need to buy, you can just ask them. Essentially, you need a wax warmer ($35-60, depending on the model - Gigi make good stuff), the wax itself ($10-14 for 14 ounces - enough for a full leg wax with some left over), Epilating strips ($10), and the Spatulas for application (I think thats the name, they're used to apply wax). So basically, you can get set-up to DIY for the cost of one spa visit. The down side is doing it yourself. Its not as easy as it looks, like on the back of your legs and other difficult areas. It helps to have someone either help out, or do it all for you. Hope this info helps...

Oops, I forgot (sorry!). The waxing lasts anywhere from 3-4 weeks normally. This means 3-4 weeks of NO shaving bumps, skin irritations, itching, or any of that stuff that you get when you shave. And shaving lasts what, one, maybe two days before it looks in need of another shave? Its really worth at least looking into whether its done at-home or in a spa!!!

It's been about three years since I started going to the laser hair removal salon.

It started off with "I never want to shave my face again" and ended up with lasering off everything except for the hair on my head.

Cost: Well, you could buy a nice car for the price I've paid, but I feel it's all been well worth it.

Now I can go for months without shaving at all. Perhaps a stray hair here and there, but that's about it. Every few months I go in to have the stray ones zapped off.

Legs take a long time to do...

In the end, the feeling of being smooth everywhere is just great. And never having to spend the time to shave is amazing.

As for the pain of lasering, well you get use to it...

Waxing

Postby maggied on Mon Apr 16, 2007 9:51 pm

Personally I prefer waxing. It's a bit more expensive but their are no cuts or nicks and a lot of great conversations. I have waxed for years and have never asked anyone permission. I have always thought that if I was old enough to have it done then I was old enough that I didn't need anyones permission.

I don't think there's anything remotely wrong with a male waxing or shaving his legs really. My family were like "Why you doing that?" but over the last 12 or so years they have accepted this is the norm with me now and it's my body - my choice. If women can do it then so can men. I object to anyone saying that shaving and waxing legs on a man is not on, then where's the equal gender rights in that then?
I've often in the summer gone out with shorts on and people can see that I've shaved or waxed my legs, I don't personally give two hoots to what they think but I have the full confidence to do so and will carry on doing so regardless or criticism or flak. It feels kinda sexy to have hairless legs. the next thing I'm trying is a full leg wax!!

One day I was curious and so i therefore shaved my legs and armpits, after that I started to put a bra and panties,. I looked myself in the mirror and saw me like that. I went on and put a dress and got a pedicure and manicure (french manicure) from then I put some high heels and went to put make up. I saw myself and thought how hot I looked dressed like a girl. I took a picutre and then gave it to a family member. They didnt know it was me and though "she" was a beautiful girl.
