Men wearing womens jeans

I am a guy and I really like the cut of women's jeans. I also really like cowboy boots but they are near impossible to buy for guys in the high street so I have to buy 'girl' cowboy boots. I wear both jeans and boots out-and-about but am careful that the designs are not too feminine....

I tried on a pair or womens jeans the other day and could not belive how well they fit me, much better than any of the jeans that I have now. I hate jeans that are baggy in the rearend and thighs. I have not bought any womens jeans yet, but i will when i find some that do not have the femine stitching and paterns on the pockets.

My favorite brands for wearing out are Jeanology by Newport News - Low Rise flares and NY and Company Low rise flares. Both of these brands are basically "unisex," meaning no blatent "tells"

Another pair of my favorites are Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda Stretch Jeans. There is only the embroidered swan on the front pocket, otherwise they are non-descript.

I also have pairs of Mudd and l.e.i. jeans. These jeans are strictly "girl".

The key for men buying women's jeans (or any womens slacks) is buying low rise. To check for size (if you're too shy to try them on in the store) is to check out a clothing catalog and match your hip measurement to the hip measurements in the womens sizing charts. This will give you a good starting point

I have 3 pairs of skinny jeans, and 2 boot cut, all of which are really tight. I prefer wearing women's jeans to men's 'cos they feel much better on. Men's are too baggy and feel too uncomfortable. My favourite ones are the skinny jeans which I bought from New Look. They're totally skintight down to me ankles and make me feel very good. I don't know if women feel the same - ladies? Do you feel good in them?

As for showing my bulges off, it depends on the length of my top, how confident I feel and where I'm going. I never had any adverse comments though a couple of shop assistants did have a bit of a giggle as they watched me in Top Shop the other day. it couldn't have been all bad 'cos they stared and my crotch the entire time I was in there.

I've tried some Miss Sixty one and they were fantastic but just too expensive. Maybe I'll treat myself anyway

Let me start about by saying that I'm a very straight male but last night for the first time in years I wore a pair of ladies jeans. Wow, they felt so good to have them on. They were slightly low rise with very flare legs. I just loved having them fit semi tight around my thighs and I'm going to be going out today and buying a few more pair. I may even get rid of all my male jeans.

Just a side point, is it ok for for men to wear jeans so tight that their bits show? I know women wear theirs tight so they get a "cameltoe", i.e. the demin goes right up between their legs. Or should it be left so theyre tight on the bum and legs only?

So in the same viegn its OK for mento wear mens skirts, they are KOOL, cool, comfy and healthy. Lets get rid of this his and hers, if it fits, you like it wear it!!

Wear whatever you feel comfortable with. Though the jeans should fit the body, not have your body fit the jeans. I like tight jeans that reveal most (and I wear them), but if you buy something that's too small it distorts the shape of your body and looks so so average. In fact, a slightly larger size would appear tighter and feel more comfortable. A slightly larger size allows the material to shape to your body. That's where stretch is good. Small jeans hide the curves. I've never worn women's jeans, but it’s an interesting idea. Perhaps manufacturers should be taking notes.

I have found that shopping during the holidays is a free pass to buy anything female you would like. The hip Huggers styles fit a guy much better than the traditional high waist.

Measure your hips and divide that number by 4. So 40" would be 10". Take a ruler and measure from the tip of your finger down on your wrist or forearm and mark where this measurement come out. Now you can look at womens jeans, and size them by putting your finger tip on the button, and seeing where the edge lines up on the mark you made on your wrist or forearm. It works very well.

If you go with traditional higherwaist jeans, they will either fit your hips and crush your waist, or will fit your waist and be baggy on your hips.

One question! I bought jeans from Newport News and there is too much room in the hips! What then? Where do you get nice women's jeans without the extra hip space? I buy most of my clothes from Newport News!

I like Jeanology Jeans also, but you have to pay attention to the style. As Bedroomcd wrote, "If you go with traditional higherwaist jeans, they will either fit your hips and crush your waist, or will fit your waist and be baggy on your hips'"
Make sure the description says "low rise" or if your really daring, "ultra low rise"

If you're in the States, and confident enough, go to New York and Co. Their jeans fit me great, but, there is no internet option. You have to buy them in their stores.. I have been asked if I was shopping for myself:~)

there is nothing wrong with men wearing womens jeans. In fact I wear most of my blokes clothes, even his boxers, so why shouldnt he wnat to wear my stuff (within reason!)

I'm very slim and have quite skinny long legs so all my man jeans hang off me, like clown trousers almost. Even on a rare occasion when I can actually find a pair that fit my waist (29-30") and my leg length (33-34"), they're still always really baggy at the bum and thighs.
I tried on my girlfriend's jeans one night when she was out and found that they fitted way better than my own. A size 10 (uk size) with a long leg fits me nicely, though not too tight, round the bum and thighs and waist and ones that sit quite low on the hips do seem to fit better.
Someone mentioned earlier that you have to make sure the zip opens on the "man" side...? Well, that's not really true, it shouldn't matter. It's just easier when going to the toilet because you're used to using your right hand to unzip and hold yourself...

Well yes. It would feel strange, for one thing. Tried swapping your knife & fork recently. You can do it but it's a weird experience. Plus the fact he doesn't really want the world knowing what he's wearing. MANUFACTURERS TAKE NOTE.

It must be the same experience for Asians, who are generally smaller than other cultures, who have to buy clothing in the children's section to get the right size.
