I've had what I thought was monofibre extensions.Reading here I haven't had the same experience of some of you guests. So I decided to ring Antenna and get their opinion.

It would seem although I have fibre in my hair it isn't monofibre, cos it matts and tangles and looks very straggly after only 3 weeks.

When i rang the salon that did my hair they told me all fibre is called monofibre,I have found out this isn't true. Are they rip offs or am i stupid?
What course of action do you think i have?should i report them to their trade or even to the press.

The same has happened to me. I am now wearing monofibre and what a difference to what I had been told was monofibre. My extensions are sumptous and soft and look incredible and that is after 4 weeks.I have been told I should go in for a tidy up in the next 2 weeks to make sure that they are looking good.....they are!
Shall I name and shame the salon that intially ripped me off?

Racoon to thicken

Postby Roxy07 on Thu Jul 05, 2007 12:31 pm

I am thinking of getting just a few Racoon hair extensions to thicken my thin hair that is fairly long already. Completely new to hair extensions and just worried they will damage my hair and make it thiner than it is?? I am not very guttsy when it comes to my hair javascript:emoticon(':?')...any advise welcome! Also going on holiday in two weeks, where I will be in the sea alot, does this matter??

strange your on this thread!
Why pay for second hand hair that will definitely fade and tangle and will be awful for your holiday.
Go to a salon that will give you monofibre, then you will have no problems....as long as you are sure they are kosher!  :o

I agree and it would appear another advertiser asking about their own extension brand!

Shows how tacky Racoon are,and let me tell you their glue is even tackier to get out of your hair. Stay away I would say having suffered with their gimpy product.

Perhaps they just attract gimpy useless hairdressers who seem to know nothing. Worth while finding someone who is trained in applying hair extensions ,not sticking in with glue a load of old hair from someone else.
How tacky is that?

does anyone know when you go to antenna if they can colour your hair, or do you have to do this before you go for your extensions?
