Also, I just watched another video, which compares US media coverage to the BBC media coverage. It points out how the US slants the coverage in favor of Israel. I must say I was very confused on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict over the years and this video opened my eyes and filled in some blanks on the entire world picture. Especially in regards to the invasion of Lebanon and the US/Israeli connection, and now when I watch CNN I can see the spin everywhere, really sickening.

The American media is pathetic. It is biased, and dumbed down, and interviewers play footsy with the politicians, never really pressing them for any real answers or pointing out their contradictions. There are a few exceptions, like Tim Russert's Meet the Press, and PBS, which is probably the most objective news source, or at least endeavors to give a balanced view. PBS is also the meatiest. I get most of my world news from BBC; their podcasts are excellent.[/quote]

The mass media said almost nothing about the secret meeting of the House on March 13, 2008, mentioning only one of the items being discussed (the new surveillance techniques that are going to be used by the U.S. government to watch all American citizens). The story was first released in a newspaper out of Brisbane, Australia, revealing the contents of the secret U.S. government meeting and plans for America, including all of its citizens.
