Nipple Piercings

Postby Nervous&&Excited on Wed Aug 27, 2008 1:36 am

Hi I just turned 17 like 3 weeks ago and I hopefully I'll be getting my right nipple pierced in the next week, but i've been reading what other people have said and now i'm wondering if it would be better if i got both done.
Should I get both done?
Also I sleep on my stomach usually, will it really hurt if my nipples were pierced?
Thanks, BTW I'm A 17 year old female

Okay well i got my nipple pierced yesterday and it was a breeze now i just have to take care of it and it should heal up well, I really like it and so far none of my friends can really believe that i did it. I'm so happy, i swear that after i got it done my adrenaline was so high. Btw I'm 17 and female, now i wonder if i'll get the other one done

I got my nipples pierced and I loved them! Always get both done! It helps with the healing and you'll either end up loving them or hating them so if you take one out you'll take both out. Places almost all the time offer deals if you get them both done at the same time.

HI, Right I had both nipples pierced 1week ago today, iv got lots of tattoos which neva hurt aswell as my belly button pierced, i was extremley nervous to get my nipples pierced with them being very sensitive but I can honestly say they didnt hurt as much as i thought, if anything the clamp hurt more than the actual piercing. Im soooo glad i got them done tho they look fab!!!!! plus you only live once so just do it girls!!! xxx

I advise against it. I don't see why you'd want to take the risk of infection. I'm just not sure that every place that does this sort of thing is as strict about sterile technique as I am.

Shelly, surely any infection is going to happen as a result of poor aftercare on the part of the person receiving the piercing than the actual deed itself?

Good point. But the one getting pierced is able to do something about the aftercare. But if the shop doing the procedure doesn't observe sterile technique, then you're in trouble. I just don't see the benefits outweighing the potential for poor outcomes.

I had mine done yesterday. It hurt really bad and I cussed my piercer out both times. I love her to death and shes done my other piercings so I trusted her completely. They dont hurt today but it was difficult to try to sleep last night since I was REALLY aware of them. I love the piercings. I had them done since my nipples were never sensitive and I hated having them sucked on during sex. So my bra lightly grazed my nipple and its already so much more sensitive. I cant wait for them to heal completely!

I've brought up the subject of nipple piercing with my wife, more as respects me having mine pierced, but she agrees that she will have hers pierced also. She thinks that my having my ears pierced is sexier than my having pierced nipples, but I really want the pierced nipples. We probably will have both of mine done at the same time, while she will have one done at a time, leaving one available for mutual tactile pleasure during the healing process. My ears will come first, most likely within a week. Tonight I will go buy the small silver hoops that will be in my ears after they heal.

Why need to do such thing? If you want something different on your nipple, just put plastic cover on it.

I had my nipples pierced a week ago - both of them at the same time. It hurt like hell but after 48 hours it pretty much stopped hurting. I couldn't sleep on my front for three nights because any pressure and they did get quite sore. There sore at the moment if I wear a tight bra (I've resorted to wearing vest tops for a small amount of support without the pressure) or if I knock them.

You have to be careful you don't wear bracelets to bed because they may catch. The same for your partner if you have one (my boyfriend caught his bangle on it the other day and, yeah, that hurt).

The only other thing is seatbelts in cars tend to go across where the barbell will end so it may catch if you're not wearing a bra/padded bra but whatever underwear you have on it WILL rub. This is something to bare in mind - personally I don't find this too painful but it can make them sore if you're driving for a long time.

Major things to consider are; Firstly, can you deal with the pain of having it done? It is done by clamping the nipple and then pierced with a needle and the barbell pushed through after the needle was removed. I found that having the barbell put in hurt more than the actual piercing. Secondly, do you have a job where it may be a problem? IE do you work with young children or disabled children that have a tendancy to grab or fling themselves around. Thirdly, think about things like my previous seatbelt information, sleeping positions and any loose jewelry you wear.

I didn't think about these practicalities before I had it done, and I wish I had to make myself more prepared for how much care you have to give them, but I love them to pieces. Oh, and they do heighten sensation on the nipples but I don't have a problem with them rubbing against anything although it does look like your nipples are permanantly erect.

That's all the advice I can offer. Sorry for waffling!

Regards this; my piercer (who does all my piercings and tattoos - I have 2 tattoos and 11 piercings inc. nipples, so I trust him) has told me that male nippples hurt more when they are pierced because with female nipple piercings you go through the skin above the nerves that cover the teats (ie the protective bit to stop your nipples getting hurt when breast feeding) but male nipple piercing goes through the nipple itself (ie the nerves).

Mine really really hurt - I nearly passed out with pain when I had them done. I don't mean to put you off but you really do have to be prepared for it.

Oh, and I'm female in case you wanted a comparasome.
