I agree with Gillian the hotels don't make it easy. I recently went to a hotel where they had a semi concealed shower near the pool and spa area so after my swim I removed my cossie to shower. Whilst showering another lady came up and stood behind me. When I finished I moved away from the cubicle to dry off before I went into the sauna. As I walked away I glanced back to see her removing her bikini top, I don't know if she removed her shorts. It just shows how if someone is brave enough to do it others will follow. So come on guys and girls...don't be shy. I think as another poster said on this forum, what is the worst thing they can tell you to do...cover up! Incidently the other lady in the shower was in the changing room when I finished in the sauna and we got chatting. She was an air stewardess and said she had flown all around the world and with the exception of muslim and arabic countries nearly everywhere else was clothing optional or even costumes banned. Why are we so stuffy inthe UK ?

hey there, Rio's is a great place.. very relaxing, full of nice people, friendly and sometimes there is a bit of action going on! It's known as a swingers party location but everytime i've been there i found it really nice and people just like to know each other and then maybe they have some fun together. The place is really clean, with friendly staff, great facilities and is a metropolitan heaven for naturists! Best nights to have fun are friday for singles and saturday for couples.. but if you are looking only for a relaxing time go anytime! And dont believe to those posts that say that the place is full of perverts or dodgy people.. of course if you are a stunning girl someone is going to stare at you but that happens also in the middle of a street. Anyone wants to come there with me on the 15th or 16th!? Let me know.. we could have a nice night out (actually in)! Latino81

I'm sure most people on here do not want to goto places where this is "a bit of action going on" and not to "have fun" in the sense that you mean. Most people here are looking for where they can goto to enjoy a sauna/steam au naturel, and with no sexual conotation going on and with no perverts staring at the girls and following them around like sheep. Unless you're happy with going to a place like that, then avoid this place! In particular if you're a women, I would strongly recommend you avoid the place. Get yourself over to Germany or Holland for the far far superior spas over there. You'll feel very comfortable and you'll love it. A million times better than these pathetic naturist/swingers health clubs in this country.

the ones onthe continent are indeed better, but the one in selby at least tries to have the same format. no pervs there either, its clean, quiet and everyone just minds their own business and enjoys having a sauna the way it's supposed to be taken.

it is still running, not been for a while but was 1600-2100 last time i went. was ok, quiet and peaceful, only about 4 blokes there, no females, infact i've onyl ever seen 1 femail there. they probably find it a bit intimidating. the last time i went just after 1600 there was a girl in a bikini drying her hair, looked a bit startled when this old guy came in and got naked. bit odd i suppose if you are not used to it and theres no announcement to say its now for naturists.

Sara and i went on holiday last year and when we decided to have a sauna it was quite late in the evening,We both took our bikinis with us but when we got there we were the only people in there,So we both went nude after about 10 mins of us chillin the door opened and in came this lady when the steam cleared how embarressed were we because it was someone who lives just up the road from us,I have seen her a few times at the shops since but she has never said anything.Whats the chance of going away and bumping into someone you no in a little sauna on a holiday park. there's a great sauna in amsterdam called sauna deco. beautiful art deco building, all mixed and must be nude. very tranquil except for the yanks who turn up and shreik about the shared changing room and showers.
the one in selby is the only one i'm aware of in the north that has an official naturist night. last time i went there was only about 5 males in, aged about 45+, except one other guy in his early thirties, seemed a bit shy and covered up in the sauna but then walked around naked later on so must have got used to it.
did anyone go to selby tonight ? was it busy?

Selby is a waste of time. Most people seem to wear costumes even in a nudist session and the staff usually forget to put the sign on the door saying nudist so some people get offended if you are nude.
