Nudity in front of children

Went around to visit my bestfriend and her 2 kids (my godkids) the other day.Rung doorbell but no reply,went round to side gate and shouted out I was there and went through. Saw my 2 god children and my friend in the hottub. They said come on Auntie Cath come in with us! I said I didn't have my cossie and my friend said that all of them were nude anyway. I was a bit shocked but eventually plucked up courage to join them.It was a great afternoon but wonder if the kids should be allowed to see me nude?

its probably not a good idea
since they are your children.
however i have seen my sister nude and as long as they don't think of it as a sexual thing it's fine

nothing wrong with nudity, we are all born nude. All our family walk around each other nude. Children, Parents to Grand Parents. It all depends if you are at each with nudity. If we all goto the beach, we will strip off.

As long as they don't start to see it sexually and think of it sexually than it is ok.

I guess it depends on how well the kids handle the situation, and how comfortable you are with the entire situation. Everyone has there own views on nudity, personally I keep it in the bedroom unless the kids are gone for the weekend.

I think it is a personal thing and depends on what you feel comfortable with.I have a daughter aged 15 and sons aged 13 and 7 and we have never felt the need to cover up .I have never made a concious decisoin to go nude in front of them,but if it happens it happens.We all have to live together and it makes life easier if we are used to seeing each other naked without feeling any embarrasment.It is not unusual to find hubby in the shower,one of the kids in the bath and me on the loo.However if any of us did feel uncomfortable about it I would certainly start locking the bathroom door.

Just to reprt back that I had a word with my friend recently about what happened and she said it wasn't and isn't a problem for her or the kids. They are used to seeing her nude about the house and to them its just another body. Don't know why I worried really :oops:

There are a huge amount of nudist families out there I am sure, that go nude together always. For some it's a way of life, and some believe they actually grow up with a more healthier attitude toward nudity.
