i am not judging you morally. i am only expressing my opinion and making observations, which i'm sure you will agree i have a right to do just as you have a right to paint your toenails.

I have got some strange looks from people but I have not had anybody to taunt me. I'm not saying it will not happen. If anybody does taunt me I will ignore them and walk away. I don't ever want this to happen but if it is necessary I can defend myself. I'm not even close to being gay, I paint my toenails because I like how they look and I have enjoyed the compliments I have got from women. I know there are a lot of people who don't approve of men painting their toenails. That is their problem. I don't care what people like that thinks.

of course you care about those who don't approve of men painting their toenails. if you didn't care, you would not have replied to my posts.

You attach too much importance to your posts. He is describing his real life. Something you would know nothing about since you only read what he chooses to feed you.

i presume he is not fabricating what he posted in this thread, that he is a man who paints his toenails. i don't need to know anything more about him in order to comment on the topic of this thread.

how would you know anything more about him unless you and he are one and the same?

btw, you're an asshole.

just out of interest. David Becham wore nail polish on his fingernails, hes not gay hes not daft.

If men want to wear polish on the finger nails or toe nails thats up to them, if you dont agree with it thats your opinion but keep it to yourself. Its not harming anyone so leave them alone.

I never said men should be forbidden from painting their toenails. I only expressed my opinion of men who paint their toenails.

With all due respect, are you saying that if I don't agree, I should just shut up and not express my opinion?

Here's me thinking a forum is a place where people can exchange differing opinions.

That's not she meant, and imo I had good reason to call that guest an asshole.

The above post should say, "That's not what she meant, and imo I had good reason to call that guest an asshole."

That would make for a boring forum, don't you think?

And your post wasn't nice to me, so doesn't that make you a hypocrite?

btw, I didn't call anyone an asshole for painting their toenails; I called that guest an asshole because his post confirmed he is an asshole.

Alright kids, let's be nice. I have to agree with a lot of you. I don't think anyone should be called names like that. I as=lso agree this is a forum and you can say whatever you feel is your opinion. Some are more crude than others. It's good to see some ladies are getting a word in. I have had people look at my toes when painted and if I get good or bad coments I don't care. I do it for my own reasons. If that really bothers them or they are curious about it I will tell them. Wow, I didn't know how explosive it would be to have some paint on some toes!

Painted Toes

Postby Roy on Sun Nov 11, 2007 11:28 pm

Well if you have read the thread you know I paint them in honor of my wife that is battling breast cancer. This last month I wore pink...breast cancer colors. Now I have blue. I don't always have them painted, but mostly. I think the nails need down time. I have had red, pink (various shades), green, black, blue, and pearl. I think it's fun and it makes my wife know I appreciate her in her fight with cancer. I have been doing this since 2004 and will not stop till she is completely free of this disease. She had beautiful long hair and lost it all including all hair from top of her head to her toes. That took a toll on her and she would not wear a wig. She wore wraps. I knew she felt people looked at her so that's when I took some of the looks off her and on to me. She also had a big laugh and a laugh means a lot at this time. Of course I wear the pink ribbons on my shirt and when it's warm enough to show my feet I welcome any comments to tell them WHY. :console:
