Palin did refer to the Bush Administration's negotiations with Maliki and Talabani of Iraq.

Jalal Talabani is the current President of Iraq.

Who is the ignorant one?

That would be you.

She wasnt referring to the president of Iraq, of though. She was referring to the wars and placed the talibani in Iraq instead of Al- Qaida who were never really there in strength. Only a few, and they have been killed.

Also like her calling McKiernan, the US commander of troops in Afghanistan as "McClellan." She doesn't even know the players in the game. When Biden called her on specifics of what McCain would do to improve the economy is USA, the best she could come up with is party rhetoric. The republican platform, and she even said it last night, is to let business do what they want. That has already proven disastrous. She said government has to be more effective, but that goes against the platform of smaller government. You have to have people working to make government effective for people, not just business.

For my money, I think Biden did the better job last night.

She was clearly referring to the President of Iraq.

That's why neither the media nor the Obama camp has suggested that she made a gaffe.

But some Obama supporters evidently insist on displaying their ignorance and dishonesty.

Correct!

By the very nature of the Obama supporters, they are so busy with their hands out asking for something for nothing, they can't be bothered to listen or learn.

If all Republicans left the United States, the country would starve because there would be relatively few productive taxpayers to leach from.

If all Democrats left the United States, the country would prosper because there would be relatively few lazy, unproductive leaches.

I saw the section as discussing the war on terror. Taliban forces are still fighting in afghanistan. I think she brain farted in combinig the names Al-Maliki and Taliban, hence talilbani. It isn't a gaffe per se, because the substance of the discussion going on was more important than the players name. If it means anything, she did a lot better than I was expecting. Just not my brand of bullshit to be comfy with!

You are dead wrong.

She referred to the Bush Administration's negotiations with Maliki and Talabani, the Prime Minister and President of Iraq, concerning Iraq's ability to defend itself and the consequent drawdown of American troops.

It was not a gaffe in any way, but totally correct as a matter of fact.

Repubs never know any way but outrageous exaggeration. Look who they picked for VP! In the same day, McCain went to from saying the fundamentals of the US economy are sound, to saying there is an economic disaster! Since CEO's that get multi million dollar golden parachutes for running companies into the ground, vote republican, it gets REALLY EASY to understand why the US is in the shape its in. When a large number of people vote on just a couple of issues, and one of them is always "MONEY, NOW" unscrupulous decisions are made in the names of the many that don't get paid for failure, mainly working people! There are a certain few that consider themselves so enlightened, but can't smell the coffee for having their heads in their butts! Fresh coffee smells a lot better than what they are used to. You just can't take this place that seriously! It is a great place for getting laughs though.

Mind your own business BW. I'm looking from a very well lit view of the culture of many Democrats in the USA, of which you haven't any idea about. They, (M & B) are entitled to their opinions and I am entitled to my opinion to agree with them, when I see it is appropriate, on this occasion, they speak a truth that you, again, know nothing about. You can pretend to know the US, which you do not, and show who it is that is the real "self delusional tw@at." Leave my friends alone. Stop stalking their every written opinion. OR continue to seek approval from the "Maxwell Smarts" and other pretenders/tw@ts as you say, of the forum. I want no part of your "dark side."

No, Ivan, this twit, as you so aptly put it, would pretend to the first chair. It is interesting that most people with cancer that I know plan for the future by making sure people know who and what to pick up in their responsibilities. McCain seems to make a mockery of the US in his responsibilities...or lack thereof. Hence, we have the cheerleader in the second role.  Is that not proof that he doesn't give a shite about the country...only himself??? 8)

Republicans represent special interests. Only democrats represent the general public interest.
