You make a valid and sensitive point. I wish you the very best in your endeavors. I have been through IVF myself and have no problems with that, Clomid or anything else. I understanding wanting a child.

One of the major issues I have with the loons is the horrible comments that make about Jennifer Aniston. Way, way way below the belt. I can not even believe the barren comments, etc.

What is funny to me is that the loons are so offended at the suggestion she might have had IVF. I guess it just shows their inherent stupidity.
She is cachetic. Then she gets pregnant with twins. It seems highly likely to me it was IVF or Clomid at the least. But nothing is wrong with that at all. Again, it is the loon's reactions.

I think AJ is completely FOS so I don't ever believe anything she says, and in this instance I hope she will just not make a comment.

Again, best of luck to you and thank you for your good point.

Exactly. None of us here think anything is wrong with IVF, or clomid - the 2 ways she used to conceive her bio-children.

What we hate are the Loons, whom, for 4 years have called JA "barren", etc, but yet, really, Jolie needed HELP to conceive.

I don't have a problem with it, Antis pretty much don't care, and some of us have been through those procedures - however most of us can't afford them.

She was able to afford having it done monthly, it seems, from at least January 2007 till she finally conceived.

Again though, the option to have a c-section gives me the willies, based on my friend's experience with adhesions, which happens to 94% of the women who get c-sections. Honestly, I'm feeling some sympathy for her here. She has to be in utter excruciating pain right now, and will be for months to come.

Possibly forever, especially with adhesions.

Just to be clear.

Barren= childless and never given birth

infertile = need a push to get pregnant.

I've seen barren used so many times for women having used fertility treatment. Barren is women who have never been pregnant.

People who want children should adopt; there's no shortage of orphans out there.

You know, I "might" have agreed with you 10 years ago. I don't have a prob making fun of Jolie or Jolie with IVF, but since I'm almost 50, and I do want a child with my husband. That's not wrong.

While you think adoption is the answer, think again. In California, the state okay'ed that adoption.org is not allowed to advertise because a GAY MALE couple sued and said they were discriminitory. So, Californians can't get access to those children. Lovely, eh?

And, an older child might have a lot of issues that people can not deal with. You have to be willing to deal with the issues that come from a lot of these kids.

And, there's also a color problem. Most of the kids in the system are black/brown - while that is fine for SOME people, other people would prefer a child of their own color. It's just preference - and the way people are.
And there are really no white children available in most states.

I actually think a lot more black/brown people should adopt these kids, keep their kids in the culture they are familiar with, but that is not happening, unfortunately.

And finally, maybe one or the other person in the couple does not want to adopt? There's been a lot of nasty court cases where people want their kids back from the adopted parents.

Oh poor you, not being able to adopt a newborn white kid. Yes, I can see why you and people like you refuse to adopt. You just want to welcome a child into your heart and your home and all that's available are brown babies. The horror! No wonder you lot go and get your bodies pumped full or hormones and spend thousands trying to breed.
You get what you get! When women get pregnant they do so knowing that there are numerous potential problems that can occur. Even if you're *lucky enough to get pregnant, there's a good chance you might have a bio kid why is disabled.
The truth is that there's nothing special about your genes and there's no need to pass them on. So good luck with your IVF. Guess it's better to end up childless than a mother to a brown skinned baby.

I feel sorry for you - you have no idea what color I am. I am an AA and that is just the way things are.

Are you black or are you just making assumptions about me?

Since we're talking about adoption and IVF, I love this website.

http://www.adoption.com/

It also has children there.

In most cases here in the UK, the adoption agencies try to place ethnic minority children and adoptive parents together - the reason being it is much less stressful for the child to be brought up without being given another reason not to feel so "adopted". Kids at school can be immensely cruel and if they could tell for definite you were adopted, then you wouldn't be in for a nice time. I think this is the better and more sensitive way for the children involved.
