Pleated Skirts

Postby sascha brown » Sun Aug 17, 2008 5:53 am

I would like peoples views on the wearing of pleated skirts. after all they are looked at as very sexy,as they sway and move as the Pearson walks, letting the pleats cascade around the body.unlike pencil skirts which are so restrictive.

I like short pleated skirts, but sometimes feel uncomfortable in them. They're a cute, young look. Wearing them as a grownup, sometimes I feel like I'm dressing like a kid, but I wear them anyway. I've never liked pencil skirts either, not that they're restrictive, I just think they look kind of frumpy. When I'm wearing something long (at least knee length) instead of something short and pleated, it's usually something that flares out or flows.

pleated skirts

I think ladies look really elegant in pleated skirts, long or short. It's the way they move, it's just poetry in motion!

My kilts are well pleated. I hate tight clothing and find kilts allow comfortable movement when walking.

I like the look of pleated skirts for ladies too.
God bless from Colin.

Personally, I think kilts look better on ladies. I don't find them as alluring on guys! Sorry guys.

Short pleated skirts!

Postby yaz_coolchick » Tue Sep 09, 2008 12:01 pm

Hi,

I have a short grey pleated skirt that I love to wear with opaque black tights - it feels flowing and free to wear.

There is one problem though - I was wearing it yesterday and the wind blew it up while I was waiting for a bus, I think I gave this guy an eyeful!!

It depends upon the weight of the material. My kilts are rather heavy and less likely to blow in the wind, but rather too warm for a hot summer day.
(Did I hear someone say "don't be silly, we don't have hot summer days now?")
It is a balance between heavy winter weight material that won't blow up, but be too warm for summer, or light summer weight for calm summer days.
God bless from Colin.
