Recurring dream.

Postby Lors on Thu Aug 17, 2006 10:48 pm

I often dream that I'm at a party and I have to go into the kitchen and blow my nose because it is ridiculously snotty, but no matter how hard I blow, it's still really blocked up. After a while of me blowing my nose, the same person (I've known him for years), always leaves the party, stopping to say goodbye to me.

I've had it many times over the past couple of months. Does it mean anything apart from the fact I'm incredibly weird?!

Friend. I don't particularly like him because he is horribly arrogant. But I've known him since playgroup.

A friend who you find arrogant? Hmm. . . here's my (quite possibly incorrect) take on it:

The part when you feel like you have to blow your nose signifies that something is bothering you and you want to get it out of your system. You try to blow your nose, but it continues to stay blocked up. This illustrates how hard it is for you to get this issue that is bothering you out in the open. You try and try, but it is all in vain.

Here's where I get confused. . . your friend leaves the party, stopping to say goodbye to you on his way out. You mentioned that you've known him for ages and although you consider him a friend, you find him arrogant. All I can make of this is that maybe you're trying to express your opinion of him because it bothers you to keep it inside and pretend everything is fine. The fact that he says goodbye to you before leaving suggests that he is unaware of both the way you truly feel toward him and the fact that you're struggling with it.

And if it's not that. . . it's probably nasal polyps
