dream of a dance proformance

for the last few nights I have been having a dream were I invite a old girl friend from high school to a ballet that I am proforming in. I get out onto the dance floor and everything is going good intell I'm supost to lift the girl up we start off Jeté Glissade Pas de chat and im supost to left her up on pas de chat but, I end up droping her and I look out into the adiance and the girl that I invited is looking at me like you idiot. I feel terible the one person that I actually want to have see me dance thinks I'm a complete idiot. Then I just loose it. I cant remember any of the choreography but I keep on dancing thinking it will get better but it never does and the room is just spining. I tied to talk to her after the performance but no matter how close I am to her she cant hear me or is walking away from me and no matter what I cant keep up with her.

"Girl friend" like a friend who happened to be female or "girlfriend" like someone you once dated? Either way, I think part of this is about trying hard to present yourself well to her, even if you don't actually have any interest in her now.

This girl freind was my first girl friend in highschool. We met at a dance and we just kind of clicked with each other. We had went out for a few months and I had introduced her to a few of my friends and one of my best friends starts going out with her behind my back. I ended it when I found out. I started going out with others but none of them had the same package that she had by the end of high school I wanted her back but by then I just felt it was too late I don't think I still have feeling for her anymore and if I had any feeling it would be for my last girl friend and that I think I just didn't get a complete closer as we had broken up over the phone. but this one we broke up in person.

Then maybe it's the feeling that being too confident can hurt you in some ways. You introduced her to your friends, meaning that you felt secure enough in the relationship to want to tell others about it. Then when your friend (if he deserves to be called that) started dating her, it seemed you may have been TOO confident and shouldn't have introduced them unless you knew without a shadow of a doubt that she wouldn't run off with him.

In the dream, your confidence took the form of asking her to see you dance. Things went wrong there and you weren't able to fix them.
