Any Ideas

Postby leanne-legs on Fri Aug 25, 2006 3:01 pm

I am due to get married in two weeks time but on monday i was in a car accident, i have allready resigned myself to the fact i will be crutching up the aisle instead of walking as my leg is broken in 5 places and in plaster from toe to hip. I don't want to cancel my wedding but still want to look good. I have some minor cuts to my face which my sister who is a make up assistant says she can sort but i'm worried about how i will carry my flowers and use crutches as weell as how i can look good in the state i'm in. Any one with ideas please help. Leanne. x

Im really sorry to hear about your accident and i hope your better soon, also good luck for the weddding.

Why dont you get creative with one of your crutches, everyone will no you have had an acciden so get some ribbon same colour as your dress and totally cover it and get some velcro on the back of bouquet and on your crutches or with the ribbon have the florist make it a theme, it might work, it also might sound daft but id do anything and at the end of the day its going to be really special for you

Thanx

Thanx wickedwitch, my husband to be took me away for the weekend, well for last night, it was great, gave mne a chance to distance myself from the situation and calm down and think. and pretty much agree with wat u have said, no matter what its our special day and we have a twist not many ppl have which makes it even more special. We have had ideas on how to cope with things even to the extent of practising our first dance to see if we can do it without my crutchs which we can, and even better my wedding dress is being altered so i won't get my crutchs caught in it. Thanx again and more suggestions welcome, Leanne-legs.

Haven't been here for a while, and just read your story. I hope you had a fantastic day, how did it go? How did you deal with everything in the end?
