Ever caused any damage with your spiked heels?

Postby pamshoes2u on Fri Apr 06, 2007 3:56 am

I wear spiked heels because I love what they do for my legs and looks. Of course, my stilettos press dents and holes into some types of flooring. A "friend" of mine recently asked me to please not wear my heels in her house because I have apparently pressed permanent dents into the linoleum. :( But that's not my gripe. It's what she said next: "Pam, you're just too BIG A WOMAN (she mean't "heavy") to wear spike heels." Yes, I am a tall and big-boned woman, but I'm sure I'm not the only heel wearer that presses heel prints into things she walks on. This gal makes it seem like I'm a 15-ton bus and the only woman in the world who leaves her "mark".

Heels of all types and with all body types cause damage to everything (grass, men's feet).

I'm 108lbs and I can cause some serious (usually accidental) damage with them.

On a more purposeful note, my guy friend that I was taking dance lessons with wouldn't stop stepping on me so every time he'd tread on me I'd stomp his feet so hard it would make the beginning stomp in paso doble look like a light touch.

spiked heels

Postby ZiaAries on Wed Apr 18, 2007 3:23 am

Hey, I usually take my shoes off when I enter someones home. I always have, probably always will...unless their floors are dirty. Shame on your friend for addressing the problems to her flooring in the way she did. I prefer people take their shoes off in my home but I don't always ask them. I have put slippers of every size by the door and tried many things to prevent shoes being worn in my home. I now have a sign saying "please remove shoes."

Yes, I've cause damage due to my spiked heels and I won't stop wearing them. I once just barely kick a dash board of a friends car and damn...my heel went all the way through. I couldn't believe it. It resulted in some expensive damage. I've also caused damage to my heels when walking on a wooden planked sidewalk or porch. Makes me so mad.

I've damaged a couple of guys' feet before now. Don't think it was permanent!

And I trod on my dog's paw. He was limping for a couple of days.

But I now have a no shoes rule in my house (apart from myself that is). This doesn't seem to be a problem with women, but men sem really put out.

What a bitch your "friend" is! If someone said that to me there is a good chance I wouldn't speak to them for a while!! The worst damaged floor I've seen was in my "best friend's" (i use the term lightly.. long story!) old college room! every inch was covered in heel marks from the two of us dancing around before going out, general walking around and girls of all shapes and sizes threading on it!!

Cant say I've done much damage with heels otherwise though... threw a sandle at my brother once, but it was one of those wide heal thingys.... come to think of it i threw a spike heel at two of my buddies during a food fight after a night out.... didn't do much damage though... maybe a scratch....
