Have you ever been to one? I have never been, never seen the appeal and have a fear of the plane crashing!

Anyone been to one recently?

Yeah they're great but haven't been to one for aaages after I got heat stroke at Biggin Hill because when its hot there is litterally almost no cover whatsoever on an airfield.

Don't expect a crash unless there are some Sukois about

Been to several at Farnborough. The wise people take their ear defenders with them.

I like to go around the trade stands and discuss details. Once they know that you know what you are talking about they'll often reveal things that they probably shouldn't be telling Joe Public. I'm sure my clearance expired years ago

On the other hand the best show I've ever been too was Army 2002, more tanks than planes, when they had a live firing demo on Salisbury Plain. Ear defenders were compulsary. Unfortunatly they only do it when they have time expired ammo to burn so I don't expect to see that again for a few years.

I was amazed how carefully the "peace" protestors were escorted off the site when they made their clearly illegal, disruptive and dangerous protest.

There is an air show every year in Sunderland. From my house I can see it clearly. Don't need to go to the actual thing. So no I have never been to one.
