Wooooah!

Postby ziggyfairy on Thu Jul 12, 2007 6:34 pm

Wow! Amberdite! That's all I can say! Like, wow!

I take it you weren't actively trying then? I had heard that some women are super fertile after having a baby, guess you're one of 'em! Congratulations! But you're concerned it's ectopic - have you been to your doc yet? If not, go. Pronto.

ODN - congrats on your hyster . . hystero . . . hystery . . . HSG! That's great news for you and Mr ODN, now you just need to get his swimmers sorted with satnav, pop some clomid, and off you go! Hopefully, anyway - will have my fingers crossed for you, as always.

Cheryle - you sound great, in spite of all the stress and needles - how do you feel?

Ha ha - hard hats and torches - ODN, I missed yoooooou!
How is Mr ODN with the whole motility thing? When Mr Ziggy was told his sperm count was at the low end of normal he was most affronted; but being a typical man (boy?!) did the whole comedy routine. I kept telling him it only takes one but I think it did dent his confidence a bit. He also decided that more sex was the answer - didn't have the heart to say "no pet, it doesn't work like that . . !"

Hi Girls!!!

Just a little update...my HSG that I had last Wednesday has brought on a period!!! :witch:

It started yesterday arvo, and the doc who done my test said if I bled any heavier than a period to go to GP. Have had no pre-menstrual cramps, no sore boobs, have been really tearful all week, but with my test, I'm not surprised!!! Worked at hospital this arvo, where I went to see Gynae Doc and they said must have started a period. I also met one lady who was about 6 months pregnant, and she said the month before she fell pregnant, she had the same test. It can apparently clear everything out, and bring on a period.

Also, when I got in from work tonight, hubby completely out of the blue...said that he had been feeling particularly loved up all week, and after our holiday, and presented me with a rather large eternity ring!!!

I tell you girls...I think things are really looking up for me...I feel so excited and so positive, and so in love with my beautiful husband...I have this warm feeling in my stomach...changes are happening, things just keep getting better and better!!! I'm kind of scared to feel like this...in case things start going wrong again!!! I know this, and am just going to enjoy this feeling while it lasts!

While I am feeling particularly positive, I just wanted to spread the love, and say a huge Thank You to all of the girls who listen to my ranting and raving on here...you know who you are! I hope everyone feels happy and loved up tonight...Seriously...I'm not drunk!!!  :grouphug:

ok...not drunk, but what drugs were you taking!!! I need some of those happy pills

Seriously I am happy for you, your post sent all my hormones staight to my tear ducts. I feel it won't be long before you are complaining of leaking boobs and swoollen ankles  Hey just thought we all might be preggie at the same time...wouldn't that be strange..in a lovely way!

My friend (one of the Buddha girls) got pregnant on the third month of Clomid. She is now pregnant again with no help from any feltility drug.

Anyway have a great Sunday and hope you are still smiling

awwww I'm all teary eyed too.... congratulations ODN, on having a period, on having a beautiful husband and being so happy and positive!!! I want some of those pills you're taking too!!!! 8)

Ziggy- I'm trying to stay positive with everything but am not always succeeding very well :( right now it's very hot here, my feet are swollen little (big) sausages and blood sugar values keep going up and up and up despite insulin injections and strict diet    I need a few of ODN's "happy pills".... I seem to go in waves of being ok about everything then being depressed and down about it all... I'm driving my poor hubby nuts and making him feel like he can't do anything right (and he can't! not because he really can't but because I'm hormonal and worried and hot so there really is nothing he can do that could be right!!! I've tried to explain that to him, but (sigh).... I'm just a bear right now... ) Sorry for going on and on... I guess that'll teach you to ask how I'm feeling!

Thanks Ambers...how are you feeling? When is your appointment with the midwife? You'll all be old pros at this pregnancy malarky. I am fully aware that many people do not get pregnant with Clomid, and that is always in the back of my mind! I think it's just the unknown. I have never been pregnant, so it is like I always try not to think about can I get pregnant? Can I carry a pregnancy to term? (Note time...worrying about the unknown...and it is raining heavily here...just woke me up...wide awake! ) It just gives me more hope now that I wil find out just around the corner! Just want to get cracking now! I've had a picture of a fertility buddah on our wallpaper for months now!!! Scared the bejesus out of my hubby the first timw he saw it!

Cheryle...please try not to worry...it has been a difficult pregnancy for you so far, hasn't it? With the worry of the amnio results, and now gestational diabetes...you've had a lot on your plate...let alone hormones flying EVERYWHERE!!!

What have your sugars been running at? Are you testing the yourself with the little hand-held kits, or are you having regular blood tests, or the urine dipsticks?

I'm sure you have done your research...but Diabetes UK is a brilliant organisation that we recommend to patients here...have a look at

http://www.diabetes.org.uk/Guide-to-diabetes/What_is_diabetes/What_is_diabetes/Gestational_diabetes/

AM so sorry you are going through the mill, hon...sending you big cuddles! :bighug:

Wow - ODN - awwww! That's so lovely - see, that's exactly how we've been feeling for the past few months, and I don't want to lose it by bringing all the stress and disappointment of "trying" back on to our shoulders.

I'm so glad you've had a period - I hope so much that you get a BFP over the next few months! Remember when, even though this was a pregnancy forum, none of us were actually pregnant?! How things have changed, there's so much happiness and hope.

But poor wee Cheryle! Feel for you, I really do. But try and remember how desperately you want Cherko - remember when you were trying, and I was too, and we really would have done anything to get pregnant? I think we'd have put ourselves through and suffered anything to get there - and you did, so when you're having bad days read back through all the old posts in "Husband rebelling" and think about the journey and how fab you felt when you realised you're pregnant. I'm sure it'll bring a smile to your face!

Well, enough of all that, let's get to the important stuff - ODN, what's the ring like?!

Hee hee hee...my bling!!!

<a href="http://img457.imageshack.us/my.php?image=rings001gk8.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img457.imageshack.us/img457/8990/rings001gk8.th.jpg" border="0" /></a>

Hoping that should work!

Looking back at Husband Rebelling is quite sad :( ...we were all so frustrated, weren't we? You're right Ziggy...it is quite moving to lok at those posts, and think we have actually been through a lot...and together, if you know what I mean! Like our own little diaries...I'm glad we all keep in touch  xxx

ODN- Thanks for sending that link... I have been doing a bit of looking _ but am also a bit scared to look (I'm still trying to get my nerve up) because of this: "However, babies of women who had blood glucose problems that were undiagnosed before pregnancy, have a higher risk of malformations." My doctor highly suspects that I had diabetes before the pregnancy and that really freaks me out as to whether this has had an effect on Cherko

I have a blood sugar reader at home and need to poke my finger tips to get a drop of blood and then strips that read what the level is... I need to do this 5x/day (early morning, 1 hour after eating breakfast, lunch and supper, and then before I go to bed). My doctor wants my early morning values under 90 and one hour after eating needs to be under 140. I'm doing ok during the day, with ussually only one reading per day over 140 but my early morning readings are always over 90 (sometimes just around 95 but also up to 105). He had me start on a delayed insulin injection evenings a little over a week ago but it has not brought my values down at all (they keep going up!). I was going to call him this morning (he's on holidays but he has said I could disturb him if I had questions), but then this morning my value was 86! So maybe the insulin is starting to kick in?? :? I'll wait another few days now and see what happens. I'm also testing my urine every morning for keytones. (I was always a POAS addict, but this is a bit much even for me!)

I have an in depth organ diagnostic ultrasound this afternoon so we get to see Cherko beamed onto the big wall screen again!! I'm excited about that but also a bit nervous... I don't want anymore bad news!!!!

On another note: I love your rings!!! And I am so happy for you that your HSG went well... I really hope this does the trick for you. A positive attitude also does wonders for alot of people!! :D

Ambers- I'm curious too!! How are you feeling and when is your appointment?? How far apart will your two be??

Ziggy- Thanks for your sympathy and the reminder of how much I wanted this  I have to remind myself every day of that, it's one of the things that is holding me together right now! And when Cherko starts doing his acrobatics in my tummy and I feel how strong he's getting, I get a big smile on my face and know it's worth it!! :D

If anyone is interested in seeing what a blimp I'm becoming, I've taken the latest bump comparison pic this morning:
