| Marrying again is forbidden in the bible. Remarriage is only permitted if the spouse dies. I'm not sure what churches think and it will vary, but thats what the bible says. |

| Bambi, I'm from the U.k. Why is it CRAZY to post what it says in the Bible, when someone is wondering if they could get married in a church? Isn't a church a Christian place of worship? or is it just a nice pretty place for anyone to get married? |

i myself do go to church regularly and i do give a damb what he thinks, just because someone makes a mistake should they be judged for the rest of all time.
church of england was created dont forget so that henry the eighth could remarry, that why our sovereign is the head of our church.

More to the point, why would someone who didn't believe in it want to be associated with the hateful, bigoted religious on their wedding day?
I am an atheist, as is my wife, and we married in a registry office DESPITE the fact my parents (as Catholics) demanded we marry in a Catholic church.
My children have been raised as atheists too. That is all the matters. A free mind and a free life. |

Civil or not... Marriage today is considered RELIGIOUS in nature. |
Not when most are civil!
The majority (60%) are now civil here.

Thanks for all your comments.
It is ok with some churches as long as the person you wish to mary was not the cause of the break-up of your last marriage.
So the church is now booked for a June Wedding in 2009.

I can't get marriage in church, because it is the place for worship not for enjoyment ..i decided i go to maui for my marriage & honeymoon..thanks |
