I've had a lycra fetish since I was a kid. Secretly tried on my sister's swimsuits and leotards. Now i have my own collection of lycra swimsuits, catsuits and tights. I like garments made by the sportswear manufacturers like Speedo, Adidas and Nike. Feels great!!

Men wearing lycra

Postby Guest on Wed Jun 18, 2008 11:36 pm

I've enjoyed wearing lycra for several years but never very openly until recently.
A few weeks ago i was in Vancouver BC and had a chance to visit Wreck Beach. This is a clothing optional beach so I opted to wear just a black leotard to walk around. Although this a clothing optional area only a handful of people were naked. However nobody looked twice at me and it felt great wear something so comfortable and feel comfortable doing it.
Back it my hotel I went for a swim in just leotard, again a few looks but nobody was upset, i even had a chat with a couple who were playing with a waterproof camera and they treated me as if i was perfectly normal.
Back home I've been walking in in the park in various combinations of Leotard over and under tights, with and without a tee-shirt. In general with a tee shirt on top people treat you normally. With tights over leotard most people try to ignor you and with leotard over tights you are treated like a wirdo - probably rightly so.
So i think i have established what is reasonable in public for me, now for some further experiments!

these are men writing in this?

Yes, men!
Straight men who enjoy the feel of lycra and this case aren't too concerned what others think. Frankly I don't know how a pair of shorts which flap around or ride up between the legs can be comfortable. It certainly looks pretty ugly on either sex.

A bin bag and a tangerine! Now that could be fun! especially if you are wearing a shiny black leotard at the time!

To each thier own and so long as no one gets hurt (unless they enjoy being hurt) go for it.

Wearing lycra

I wear lycra whilst cycling to work, and get satisfaction of women in the lift at work looking at my bulge, which then just gets bigger as they look.

Wear it under my suit as well for the feel of it ...

Best invention for men ever!

Yep, I'm doing that right now! Feels great - a comfortable leotard beats an under-shirt and underpants any day. I wonder what the folks in office would say if they knew - I wonder how many others are doing the same?!

Today was shiny in the park day!
The weather was threatening rain but none fell and most people were either watching the parade or at work, so there were few people around. I wore a royal blue, long sleeve leotard (tight and shiny) and a pair of black lycra shorts. At least I wore the shorts for a short while. Once I realized there was almost no one around the shorts came off and I had a delightful 90 minute walk in just the leotard – supper comfortable and rather exciting to wear.
I did past a few people and most just said hello or hi as if a guy in a leotard were perfectly normal. Others pointedly ignored me. The real point is, even wearing something quite extreme in public appears to be acceptable. I wouldn’t wear it on the street or in the mall and if the park were busy I would have second thoughts. The park is a wilderness area not a park with kids on swings, I don’t think a leotard would be appropriate in latter situation. It’s not that I might feel uncomfortable, but it puts parents in a situation where they have to answer the “why is that man wearing that?” question.
To return to the original post on this thread; I do have a couple of unitards, one long-sleeved and one tank-top, but it was too warm to wear one today.
So there you have it – a bit crazy for sure but fun if you like that sort of thing. I’d say if you like it go do it!

Shiny spandex is a delight to wear. I don't wear it in public on the outside, but is makes great underwear. I love to wear it around the house. I don't fool myself that others would think I look sexy, but I feel sexy.

Nothing new on this thread for a while so I’ll see if this gets any reaction.

I recently bought a new leotard - a tie-died, tank top; because summer is too warm for a unitard. Yesterday I was walking in a park and on one of the quieter trails I slipped off my lycra shorts and walked in just the leotard. Very comfortable (physically) and okay mentally as I only met a few other people. Most folks either ignored me or gave a hi or hello. However one woman gave me a look, a big grin and a very friendly hello; amused or did she like what she saw? The leotard isn’t very shiny being 100% nylon, but it is very nice to wear.

A somewhat elitist attitude here! If we are only to wear spandex if we look good in it some of us may never wear it! I wear spandex because it makes me feel good. I don’t complain about the hideously ugly outfits that others choose to walk/run/bike in, or their less than perfect (whatever that may mean) body-shapes.

I personally like wearing lycra shorts. I don't know if I have a color preference,, as of now I don't think I've ventured much past black and maybe red once under some standard gym shorts. I'm a pretty athletic fit so I don't think I look overly rediculous in them. I don't go out in public with them except for occasionally bike riding or running in them. I have some shorter lycra shorts that i like using for play wrestling/foreplay with my girlfriend. I like when she wears something similar (boy shorts and the like). I guess I just like the way they feel when being grabbed on my ass or pelvic area in them. I mean what guy doesn't like being touched there anyway. I just think the tight fit makes it feel even better.

I personally don't get the leotard thing. I don't even think I could classify that as a gay thing. I have a gay friend that wouldn't even think it's kinky. Hell I don't even like girls in leotards, unitards are slightly better, but I'll stick with bikinis or a a cute short skirt or boy shorts thing there.
Everyone's got their fetish I guess.
