is there an age when one should not ware skirts , last week my father -mother and gay brother came to see me for easter, i had a polo neck short skirt with thick tights on , i am 43 180cm or 6foot tall good legs my brother sad i should not ware skirts but jeans as i am over 40, but i ware jeans all the time for work and some times i like to dress up .They made me take of my skirt and put on one of my mothers which was of poor quilty but below the knee ,mother is 85.When i sad this to my husband he sad i should have just taking of my skirt and put nothing on

Wear what you are comfortable in whenever you like, wherever you like.

Your brother's comment is pathetic - he does not, nor anyone for that matter, have the right to tell you how to dress.

Skirts are fine and classy, regardless of age. Often, the shorter the better! (I might put an age limit on that aspect!)

It's not so much an age as to the type of figure you have...I mean imagine a real fat lady in a miniskirt!

Thoughout my teenage and early twenties my mother used to nag me to wear skirts and dressed more, and its only some years later Im older and wiser and wear skirts more than trousers.

I now get her approval- nice

I think they suit my not-quite-size-8-anymore figure better than trousers.

I say wear what you like! I get the same type of compliments from people when I wear heels over 3 inches since I am already 5'11 in stockings feet. Some old ladies call me "unnatural". Sure, whatever

I far prefer to wear skirts as trousers dont suit me very well. I do always wear tights under my skirt though unless its a really hot day.

I agree, wear whatever you feel comfortable in. I don't think there's a set age limit when you have to stop wearing skirts...I'm only 24 but still...If you feel comfortable then go for it!
