Im a 19 year old male, and i really want to shave my legs, there really hairy and I hate them. What do you think? and what is the best way to remove hair

Body shaving is a personal preference.

I have shaved my body on and off for two years, mainly during the winter months because it was easier to hide. I shaved over 1 month ago and decided to go public with it by wearing short sleeve shirts and shorts. So far no comments have been made.

I dislike body hair myself, so I decided to shave it off. I use a razor to shave and shave 2-3 times a week.

There are a couple options for you...either trim it short then shave using a razor (with a NEW blade) or use Nair. Depending on how much hair you have, you might want to use Nair the first time.

If this is what you want to do, then do it...don't worry what others say. You will find that many men now days shave their body. Make sure you use a moisturizer after shaving, your skin will become dry quickly. You will notice that you will be more aware of your clothing as it touches your newly shaved skin.

Best of luck in shaving. Be sure to let us know how things go. Don't stop at the legs...if you are going to shave, might as well take it all off.

found these expensive, smelly and not very effective.

Use a multibladed disposable razor with a good shaving gell. In the bath or
shower is good. Only downside is you have to repeat twice a week but you
get quite quick with practice.

I agree that Nair can become quite expensive and is smelly, but for the first time removing the body hair, it is the quickest way to remove the hair. Trimming and then shaving takes a long time since the razor would clog during the initial shave. I would recommend using Nair to do the initial hair removal and then shave from this point forward to maintain the look.

ive just done it with a gillette venus. I love how it feels, ill never have hairy legs again. Im thinking of doing my arms now as well

What is holding you back? Go for it! Shaved arms and legs feel and look wonderful.

My wife (lets) me shave my whole body and she even advertises it to her friend that she wants me smooth and silky. I may bet a funny look every now and again but I love it.

Wow...what a wonderful feeling! Just shaved my legs and love how it looks and feels. I don't think I will ever have hairy legs again. Might try shaving the rest of the body. Looks like I will be spending more time in the shower getting ready for work now that I will have to spend a little more time in the "hair removal" area.

Who knows, might even try going in to have it waxed off, or better yet, might try laser removal.

Sure glad I took the plunge and tried it.

Thank you juliexxx, it is so good to hear a woman say that. I keep completely bare. From other comments and my experiences, I'm sure people perceive me as "odd" or "gay" but I do it because I enjoy it and so does my girlfriend. I guess I have no choice now because once I felt my bare skin, there's no way I wanted to go back to being a hairy guy.
