Suicide Bombers?

Are suicide bombers new or are they just the Kamikaze pilots of yesterday?

What do you think?

Seduction isn’t making someone do what they don’t want to do. Seduction is enticing someone into doing what they secretly want to do already.

Both believe they're doing the "right" thing (through one type or another of brainwashing). They're both fighting a war. The only difference I see is that kamikaze pilots normally had military targets or targets of industrial significance, suicide bombers aim for civilian deaths.

which makes the suicide bombers "religious fanatics" who only want to kill themselves and take as many other people as possible with them. From what I read, the japanese in ww2 were using kamikaze pilots as a last resort in an attempt to turn the war back in their favor. It didn't work. The "suicide bomber" thing won't work, either ...

suicide bombers

Postby geraldineAE » Mon Nov 12, 2007 10:59 pm

One thing occurs to me about the justification/explanation of the suicide bombers actions. Some say they are acting this way because of the actions of Blair/the UK/The West in the Middle East..
Well...if they really thought this wouldnt it be more appropriate to attack
1.The British army in Iraq 2.the British Army in the UK..an army barracks 3.The British Government, Ten Downing Street,Westminster etc. 4.The Ministry of Defence in Whitehall. 4.A nuclear Submarine base 5.The Judiciary, Law Courts 6.Police Stations or Scotland Yard 6.Civil Service, the BBC,Local Government, Mayors,MPs,Councillors,Railway Stations.....whatever. My point being:all of the above are institutions of the Government or representatives or installations or facilities..whatever word you want to use.... of the State.Often terrorists or insurgents or generally people with any cause, good or bad do this.
But they did not even attempt this. They choose to randomly massacre innocent people. People who, in no way, could be blamed for the actions of Blair or Bush. Even if you were so mad as to accept the grotesque argument some of them made that the British people voted for Blair and so share responsibility-then what about the people who voted for the Conservatives, the Lib Dems, other parties, people who don't vote, people too old or young to vote, children, immigrants, tourists and people of ther own religion?
The suicide bombers killed ordinary people because it was easier. They may have commited suicide themselves, but compared to the Kamikaze or the Tamil Tigers they are nothing but contemptible cowards.
