What chores do your kids do?

Postby Guest » Wed Apr 06, 2005 3:22 pm

I have a 9yr. old daughter and 12 year old son. They don't have chores to do and therefore get no allowance. I want to change this.

I think they should do more around the house and maybe get an allowance. What chores do you think they should be doing?

Do their own bedrooms. Washing up. Hoovering and dusting. Sweeping the yard, little stuff like that to start with

I started ironing when i was 11. I think what you get them to do depends on wht they are capable of doing.

I think its really important for children to do chores, it helps the parents, and also makes the children feel important with more responsibility, if they have pets help clean them out, water plants, dust, tidy and keep own rooms tidy, make bed , put clothes away, plus if they get some money it will make them happier about doing it.
