Monofibre Hair Extensions

Hi there!
Can any one help? I’ve read some really amazing things about Monofibre hair extensions that say they don’t use glues, chemicals or acetones. They sound fab! Can anybody tell me where to get them?

I don't want human hair, as the idea of some one else’s hair in my head is just sick and thinking about it disgusts me! Plus all human hair extensions are glued in and I know that causes your hair to break, just look at what happened to Vic Beckham. As mentioned I heard Monofibre has no comebacks at all!

Can you help?

O'yes sweety it's all true, I've got sensitive scalp and Monofibre hair extensions is the only thing I can use! As there are no chemical or glues I haven't suffered any problem and I've been wearing them for 2 years. Its perfect, it looks and feels amazing! My Hubby Loves my new look too!

Hi There!

Monofibre is a phenomenon! It's system that doesn't have any problems unlike Human Hair extensions of which I found ate away at my natural hair after about the third time I had them put in. With human hair it slowly damaged my hair and in some cases can be too late!

This is rubbish!

I am tired of people saying monofibre doesn't use glue!

As someone that does both types - monofibre is applied first by braiding in the synthetic, then heating it to seal it.

This 'heating' is essentially melting it - ie creating a 'glue like' substance. And this is what holds the bond in place.

As far as I'm concerned anything that 'heats up and melts' is a glue!

I THINK WE SHOULD BE FOCUSING ON HAIR EXTENSION SKILLS ( BOTH STYLIST AND CLIENT) - EACH METHOD HAS RISKS. IT IS MORE THAN LIKELY THE PERSON THAT APPLIED THEM OR THE AFTERCARE THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEMS

What is all the fuss about? Monofibre? I have managed salons internationally; I have over 8 of experience in cutting, styling and also extensions works. I speak from experience when I say Monofibre does not use glue at all. Glue is something that is used to stick something together, like what is used when I use human hair or inferior synthetic fibres. One thing I can tell the sceptics is Monofibre is a product like no other. Many, many salons and companies try to pass off synthetic hair as Monofibre, however Monofibre is made from a superior acrylic!

The only way of getting authentic Monofibre hair is through Dome Cosmetics and Dome makes sure anyone who provides the Monofibre services is vetted and has undergone training with Dome educators.

Training is important, I agree! Dome educators have taught me. I have noticed there are a few misconceptions about Monofibre:

Firstly Monofibre is never glued in [so if the stylist is using glue, its not Monofibre]

Monofibre are not Clip-in, they are applied using a technique [so if the stylist is clipping them in its not Monofibre]

Monofibre is exclusively sold to salon and stylist who have been trained by Dome Cosmetics. The best thing for you is to call Dome Customer service that way they can tell you who provide Monofibre hair extensions in you area.

Talk to the professionals, they've been in the business the longest, don't get put off by scare mongering there are no risks with the Monofibre method...Ciao

I've worn Prostyles and it is cheap and tacky the salon that done my hair assured me it was Monofibre, but it wasn't! I now go to a new salon, and they use Monofibre, the difference is remarkable.

just to thank you.I've just rung antenna,they were very helpful and really knew their stuff.they use monofibre and i'm going in next week.

:yes you are right .just had extensions with monofibre,not at antenna,but the salon was trained by antenna.

great,my hair is wonderful and is far easier to look after than my natural hair. I was told these extensions didn't have a mind of their own....................... and it' true.

Also no damage to my own hair,listen to what I am telling you.
