Yes, take your pc & your penis to a computer technician and if he/she can not help go see a doctor.

Please this is not a topic to spam I've just opened this topic to help FF members with their computer & technical issues.

Thankyou,
:)

I sure do, nowhere dude...

I loaded an XP icon changer software which changes the W98se icons to XP icons, but now the PC won't shutdown.. I get a popup that reads "Explorer did an illegal".. and when I click-off that pop up, the PC goes back into desktop mode, and won't shut-off unless I hard shut it down...

How can I make Explorer stop doing that, without having to lose the pretty XP icons and modern window changes?..

Could you please tell me the application name that you have downloaded and installed to change the icons

Turns out it wasn't the new installs that damaged the OS, but an evolved natas virus, in an email... an evolved bug that the AVS software writers haven't met yet...

I was in communication with the world's greatest warmonger Apes.. and had offered them a working solution to preventing a Strep-B flesh eating disease plague from spreading to the west-coast, which they weren't aware of...
They in-turn sent me an email with an evolved natas virus in it, which locked up my PC's OS from boot, all the way to "A" drive.. as in "biting the hand that feeds them"... Well if that's the kiddies wants to play, then they can just all go to hell...

I couldn't get my valuable files off the HD.. There were only 30 precious edited-pix left on the HD to put to floppy when the attack hit my PC.. I spent a lot of time perfecting those pix-edits... I would like to get them off before I format-C...
Actually I would like to ram a nuke straight-up that bully's butt... but he'll get his hell when his karma comes home to roost...
When the big guy slams the little guy, the karma to pay is big as hell.. the percentages remain the same... I wouldn't want to be a thousand miles near them when their karma hits home... If I sound a little pissed, it's.. probably that I'm a little pissed...

So I reloaded W98 over W98se, and managed to get a few of the pix off to floppy.. but then I did a real dumb thing... I set CM DiskCleaner to restore the registry.. and when it couldn't restore the 98se registry into the 98, reg-restore got caught-up in a failure loop, which always reverts back to boot...

Is there a way to apply commands to break that loop?.. so can get back into that HD enough to strip out my pix?..

The attack targeted "Explore.Exe", and made explore do an illegal, upon reboot.. and when I'd click OK to that error warning pop-up, the computer would go back to startup... I did a system files scan, and replaced Explorer, but that only made things worse... I figure it's a dos-bug/worm, and then some.. probably created and evolved by a bunch of America's best Intel computer expert bullies, doing their little part in their lovely "terrorize the whole-world program"...

My PC's have been hit by that bug about 30-times now, by that same OS killing bug/worm, or what ever the hell it is..? and each time it hit, it's little more evolved, designed to cause just that little bit more grief.. and each time I am forced to format-C...

Evil that goes around comes around, as Evil Karma, which attacks and haunts those bullies who intentionally harm life and love, for sport... It's ironic that the very hour those assholes damaged my PC, is the same hour that mid-Florida got hit by a vicious night-time tornado... Not that the two incidents are connected in any way, but it makes the pain of my loss a little easier to bear... "They hit me/My world hits them."..

Lucky I have a drawer full of pre-loaded hard drives... but that was my best HD, and I would really like to somehow get those valuable pix off the wrecked HD before I format it for the fiftieth time... I just wish those mindless-bullies would just lay down and turn into flaming dust... They give me a pain in my spirit and soul... Maybe they just never got enough breast-milk..? If I was their commander, I'd put 'em all on a diet of Enfelac and pablum...

To recover your pix from a 14 times formatted HDD is not possible with todays technology.

I'm hoping I can get into command, and delete some CM DiskCleaner entries.. or mess with Explore, or something..?
It can't hurt, given that my only option is to format-C...
Can it be done?..

Can I rip-apart the OS with commands?..

What hardware recommendations can you make? I'm interested in purchasing a new flat panel, 19" or should I go higher?... a new hdd (external or internal? and why), any CD/DVD drives, processor, motherboard, cooling, fans and other fancy stuff like lights worth it?

Also interested in what others might have to suggest, have bought, or would like to purchase.

Thanks!

Whats your estimated budget ? and for what purposes are you going to use a computer.

I may be helping you better after your answer btw. never ever purchase newest equipment (cos they commonly get cheaper in a few months)

NoWhereDude

My W98se Read/write CD ROM, won't write... Don't have a clue why not..?

I downloaded the 300-megs of W98se updates to a CD on an XP PC...

When I went to install the "unofficial W98se updater", into a W98se PC, from the XP machine made CD.. A pop up read that this update is not for your system...
Seems somehow the program got tagged for XP OS, from using an XP burned CD...

Is there a way through this prob?..

The error message is not because you have written it on XP but its because its not compatible with your OS are you sure that the update is designed for your current OS
