Who here has ever pissed standing up?

I had to do it one time in Italy. I still think of it as an urinal lying on it's back (with foot stops). It had a hole like an outhouse, black and went down, down, down and you didn't flush that bad-boy either. Thought something was going to reach up and grab me.

This was a public restroom in a little town around Lake Garda (bring your own toilet paper if you ever have the pleasure of visiting the area).

i carry paradone toilet wipes in my bag so i wipe the seat before i sit down and pee some public toilets [very rare] have a spray thingy on the toilet compartment so you spray on to a piece of toilet paper and wipe the toilet seat before you sit down and do your business So no i never stand up and pee i would only stand up and pee in a remote place amongst trees or i might squat a bit because i don,t want creepy crawelies nipping at my Personnals

I'd rather pee in public than in any toilet in an airport, station or the like. Most good hotels are OK but it is a good idea to have some wipes just in case. I always keep some alchohol based wipes in my *a**a* and laptop case for general use and these come in handy if I need to use a crappy toilet.

Have you ever solved the problem of a crappy toilet by hovering rather than sitting, Anna?

Yes, but it isn't comfortable particulary when the floor is messy. I don't want my underwear soiled by a dirty or wet floor so the combination of keeping the undies only partway down and hovering above the toilet is not one that I enjoy.

Public toilets at transportation centres are the worst. I try to avoid them. Just in case, I carry cleaning wet wipes.

If you are on a hike, in a wild forest, and a grumpy bear or cougar suddenly approaches you.. It's very likely that you will "pee standing up".. whether you want to or not...
