Pregnant and 19

I have done 3 pregnancy tests today and all are positive. I'm only 19 and want to go to university in the future, so a baby is out of the question! There's absolutely no way i can tell any of my family-i think they would dis-own me. Is anybody in or been in a similar situation to this? How did u deal with it? And roughly how long does it take to get an appointment for an abortion? It really hasn't sunk in properly-i never in a million years thot I'd be in this situation! I'm in complete shock!

No if u had read the post properly u wud kno that. And btw it's my body, therefore it's my decision! I only need to tell the people I want to tell. Please could somebody offer some proper advice instead of slating my decision to have an abortion? I know some people don't agree with abortion but I know this is the right decision to make. And unless you have experienced being pregnant at 19 urself I'd rather u kept ur negative opinions to urself.

you should have used protection if you didnt want kids people like you make me sick there are couples out there who would give anything to have kids and then people like you who dont think twice about killing then

but there are also a lot of unwanted children out there, blame the adoption system. If it wasnt so tough to get through then these couples would have their children. What's the point in a young girl bringing a child into the world if it's not going to be loved or taken care of properly.

Protection is not 100% effective. Myself and my brother were both conceived while Mum was using the pill.

To the OP: My mum gave birth to me at 18, I've turned out ok. Think carefully about what you're doing. You will know deep down what to do eventually.

Blame the adoption system instead of stupid women that spread their legs without thinking of the consequences!

Your the perfect example as to why 18 years old doe not mean your an adult!

The thing is tho, i did use contraception! I am a prime example of how contraception is not always 100% reliable. The last thing i want at the moment is a child, I've always said that I don't want children until I'm at least in my late twenties and married with a career.

Ok, so what if she does keep the baby and the father ends up not wanting to know - doesnt that make her a selfish single mother in your book steve? Either way she cant win.

Here in the US the mother gets to pick the adoptive parents.

What you are talking about sounds like a foster/orphanage type home for abandoned kids.
