Well Im not sure how it works in the UK but Im pretty sure here in the UK the adoption system is more annonymous. The mother gives up her baby and it takes a long time for things to get sorted out.

Someone help me out here? Anyone on the board been involved in the adoption process?

From what i have read here, the UK is flooded with children.
In the USA, the demand is high.

Hence the fact that abortion should be an option. If the born child's life is going to be a misery because of either being kept by a selfish single mother or shunted from place to place for the first period of its life then what other option is there eh steve?

i dont know how long this post has been up here, but im disgusted with some of the comments. Im 19 and currently 4 months pregnant it took me many sleepless nights and alot of tears to make the desicion to keep my baby. Its an absolutely scary and terrifying prospect that i am due to be a mum in april, please dont get me wrong its also absolutely amazing at the same time. And i know this child will be loved and adored by me and the rest of the family!
This poor girl has a big decision to make and i dont think shes being selfish to have an abortion its her decision and she has that right! Right now her heads fighting withher heart.
Honey, i dont know if your ever going to read this or youve already made you decision, but if you know that its best to have abortion then have it and dontlook back!
